Sounds like that “deep o line” that the FSU fan was talking about was giving up a lot of sacks in the scrimmages

While I certainly understand where you’re coming from, it’s the very beginning of fall practice. Let’s not overreact to anything just yet.

Completely agree, I was just stating the guy who had multiple sacks hasn’t been productive his last 3 years, just don’t feel like the offensive line for FSU can handle smith, Roy Gaye, Ojularu

— Thought the linebackers got the best of the running backs during a blocking drill. Brendan Gant beat a running back by using his physicality to drive the player back into the quarterback. Amari Gainer was quick enough to get around a running back. Omar Graham Jr. won just about every rep he was given and made most of them look easy. CJ Campbell had the best reps blocking wise out of the running backs.

— Quarterback Tate Rodemaker had the drive of the day along with Trey Benson in the backfield. Rodemaker led a scoring drive, finding multiple receivers for large gains, including a perfectly thrown ball to Darion Williamson. The drive ended in the red zone with Rodemaker finding tight end Markeston Douglas in stride for six. Gorgeous ball by Rodemaker to make it happen. A very nice drive by the quarterback fitting balls into tight windows. He came back the following interception and nearly tossed a pick so there are still moments of up and down play.

— True freshman offensive lineman Julian Armella had an impressive one on one rep against defensive end Jared Verse in the early part of practice. Armella has come into camp quietly for the most part and is there listening to his coaches and veteran linemen. You can see the focus and it’s developing for him.

— Quarterback Jordan Travis found wide receiver Deuce Spann deep in one on ones for a 45-yard catch which would have resulted in six in a real game scenario. Ball was thrown right on the money allowing Spann to use his speed as a weapon.

— Wide receiver Darion Williamson was a standout in team drills today. He caught a dart from Tate Rodemaker despite tight coverage from Azareye'h Thomas. On a different drive, Williamson went up to high-point a pass from AJ Duffy that resulted in a field goal. Mike Norvell said following practice that Tuesday was the first day that Williamson had been fully cleared after a small accident prior to camp.

— All four scholarship running backs flashed today in Treshaun Ward, Trey Benson, Lawrance Toafili, and Rodney Hill. Ward, Toafili, and Hill made some big plays in the passing game while Benson hit a hole for a big run in team drills. Ward scored a touchdown from the five after a long run to set it up a play earlier.

Forgot he went there. Really really wanted him. Anyone thinking FSU is a layup is in for a rude awakening. Taking an L is a very real possibility.

After UCLA no one should just expect an easy W

Defense is almost always ahead of the offense.

Anyone who actuslly knows college football, would know how irrelevant this is on August 3rd

With all due respect captain, what does anything that happened under O have to do with how this team will prepare and perform? I see a lot of people reference UCLA in regards to expectations for this years game against FSU. Past events don’t predict future outcomes especially when we have a whole team and staff.

Couldn’t agree more. Took a good haircut against both UCLA and Wisconsin.

I’m glad our HC’s team from last year played FSU. Last year was last year but at least he’s pretty familiar with the players that are still there.

The coach better have his dentist on speed dial, because we are going to smash their teeth in!

Our starting Oline didn't look the best either in spring game against our Dline.

Point being it takes Oline to gel more than it does a Dline throughout the season.

I am not sure you understood what you linked.

FSU has not had any scrimmages yet. They have only had one practice out of 6 in full pads.

There were not “a lot of sacks” given up in the practice as you mentioned.

At least know what you are talking about before you start a new post.

FSU’s OL will be much improved this year. I’ll stand by that. LSU may be in for a rude awakening come Labor Day weekend if they keep thinking this is the same FSU team of the last couple years.

LSU better start their new era on their A game. No time for kinks to be worked out. We are coming!

We are ready. You will find out soon enough.

Then I look forward to finding out and I know what I linked it’s literally stated that the O line gave up sacks to a guy who hasn’t posted sacks in the last 2 years, also to guy above our D line has 3 all sec players, and your sacks given up last year doesn’t indicate y’all will be that different, granted neither does ours but at least we have new players that are arguably better then last year, I don’t think your o line has seen a d line like ours, I think it’s gonna be a really close game and a good game I just feel like our d line is better then your o line

I'm not saying this is an easy W but comparing it to last year V UCLA is apples and oranges. Different team, mentality, coaches, level of preparedness and on and on
