On this date 21 years ago, I made my first Non chaperoned game road trip with two other buddies. We were seniors in high school. Was an awesome time watching Rondell Mealey run all over the Irish that night minus it being freezing cold, the whiskey did help warm us up some though. Just had me thinking how much fun that time was

We got revenge that night for the loss earlier in the season. It was bitter cold that night. That weekend was really fun in Shreveport and it was a great atmosphere before and during the game.
I sat on the west side of the stadium behind a coonass who had to be from deep south Louisiana. He wore a tan trench coat, spoke little English and smuggled in what had to be a case of coors light. Every time I looked up he was cracking a new can. When he left there had to be 20+ empties on the ground.

Maybe the greatest quote of all time...

Don’t remember the game, but Rondell Mealey said, “we were a little too laxative”

I happened to go to both Notre dame games that year and they were both the coldest games I had ever been to.

Yeah, I was at that game, too, sitting in the ss. Some dumbass LSU student was wearing a ND jersey behind us, got physically abused and escorted out in 4th qtr.
It is my favorite TS/LSU moment... although me and my buddy sabotaging ND's pregame banquet at the hotel before this game ranks up there. We had to hide in a closet when staff heard the gold and blue balloons popping.
Good times.

97 was good, but nothing beats Eddie Kenison vs Lil Nicky. Was that 93?

Many of the LSU Notre Dame games outside were crap weather wise. One of the 83-85 regular season games was cold and wet too iirc

Both were very fun. The crazy returns in the '95 game really stick out to me as some of the craziest things I've ever seen in person in a game

I saw that fight. Dude next to me threw his drink at said dumbass in ND jersey and then crowd surfed down a few rows to whoop him. Funniest thing I ever saw in Tiger Stadium. Was at bowl game too. So damn cold.
