No kidding. This victim mentality will never go away it seems.

Folks, LSU has never received the positive PR it received this past two weeks. Not after the 07 game, most likely not before the 03 game, since coverage is so much more intense. Some of you choose to focus on the negative. Why? This is arguably the best season and the best time in LSU football with another stellar season looming next year. Don't make yourselves miserable, "they" don't hate us.

In that respect, yes. A lot of good broadcasters and journalist have come out of La. and that helps, but very outnumbered on the East and West coasts.

I guess it's their jobs to find something wrong with every team. Some are more about it than others.

I don't know or care which pundit is for or against LSU, but these people tend to gravitate to teams with a Heisman-caliber star—an Ingram, Richardson, Tebow, McCoy, etc. Given that, their star struck commentary is predictable—and whatever extra press they might give an Alabama or a Boise St. or a Stanford isn't worth shite anyway.

Jessie Palmer loves the tigers.

David pollack hates the tigers. He's still hurting from Coates.

None of them (with a few exceptions like Guilbeau and Finebaum) are for or against LSU. All of them are for getting attention and against being ignored. Saying anything bad or controversial about a high profile program and current #1 team gets them attention.

Wow...the "best season and best time in LSU football". In that case, it sure would be nice to be acknowledged by the national media. We (fans) already know it. It's time the rest of the world did. WHY wouldn't any true LSU fan want THAT? No need to bash (or name call) anyone else that does.

How the frick has no one said Robert Smith yet and his hatred for everything LSU? He is the worst CFB analyst out there and that is saying a whole frick of a lot.

What a shame since LSU is a full team of stars. All the a-hole experts don't believe we beat Bama but that Bama beat themselves. Jesse Palmer is the only one who doesn't believe that.

*Ahem.* We're the consensus #1 in every poll, including the AP and we're better than even money in Vegas to win the national title. How much more "acknowledgment" do you want?

Yea.....what's his deal? Why is he such a moron? He constantly picks against LSU and we constantly prove him wrong. Of course, that's the best part about it.

Because I don't derive my self worth in regards to my fandom based on whether or not I'm feeling dissed because pundits aren't giving LSU enough credit. Is that what it's about for some of you...? It only feels good to watch this kind of a season if others agree that it's fun and awesome to behold as well?

shite...this season is a blast and I'm happier than ever I decided several years ago to quit listening to sports talk radio or listening to punditry on channels like ESPN. I decide how much fun and enjoyment the season brings...not some douche that had to study the Media Guide in order to drop a few names on TV or radio.

If I'm being honest....yes, it makes it better (more enjoyable) when LSU gets credit for all the hard work they do and their many accomplishments thus far. Why not? They've earned it. I want my team to get it. That isn't to say you can't have the time of your life during this season though. It's just aggravating to listen to the same shite over & over how Bama is the better team and lost the game/LSU didn't win it. It's basically bullshite.

A thought to consider...

quote:

"If I were to try to read, much less answer, all the attacks made on me, this shop might as well be closed for any other business. I do the very best I know how - the very best I can; and I mean to keep doing so until the end. If the end brings me out all right, what's said against me won't amount to anything. If the end brings me out wrong, ten angels swearing I was right would make no difference." The Inner Life of Abraham Lincoln: Six Months at the White House by Francis B. Carpenter (Lincoln, Nebraska, University of Nebraska Press, 1995), pp. 258-259.

Obvious pundit is obvious.

There is much truth in these words. I had the same epiphany a couple of years ago too. The same epiphany applies to some of the crap I read on the Rant...I don't let some of these miserable assholes keep me from enjoying this team.
