A good friend of mine who was a major D-1 player has seen collins play a number of times and says he is lazy.
Well, maybe that's true, but he is a stud. Period. Last year he displayed this multiple times, including at the same Nike camp that's going on this weekend.

If he's that lazy and still that good, I'd be happy to take him and try to teach him some work ethic.

Try adding Peter Griffin...oops I mean Benny Saia of Dutchtown to that list. Only reason we got Reid is because Saia had no input in his recruiting because of Reid Sr.
I agree with this. A friend of mine has a son who plays at Dutchtown, that kid is Bama crazy.

Growing up in and around BR, I just don't understand why you would not go to LSU. No coach would have driven me away no matter what they said or did.
How are kids at Dutchdown Bama crazy?

I think he was lazy, because he could be. If the light ever comes on, the guy has tremendous potential. I saw it, and was one that was upset we lost him, esp. the way Saban recruited him, by dividing him, his family, with the GF,etc. Hope yourright on losing out on him. Doesn't seem that any we lost have comeback to bite us though, but there is a chance with Lacy, Bell, and Collins, this year, so we shall see, but good record in picking winners in the recruiting world, so far.

Curtis was huge in getting Lacy to Bama. You know, their starting running back this year that's from Dutchtown, but couldn't spell Dutchtown.
Still can't, Dutchtown gave him a diploma.

Saia.
This, there is no doubt that he is still pissed about his boy Kevin not being offered.

It is idiotic. But people don't acknowledge it when they're corrected, so the statements perpetuate.

Not sure about the others but Lacy isn't from Dutchtown. He grew up in Gretna and didn't move there till high school.

I've beaten this Fournette/Crutch shadiness with Torshiro Davis' handler St. Aug stuff into the ground on the RB and don't plan on rehashing it here. But the JT Curtis stuff in this thread is misplaced and I like our stable of backs better than Lacy. Lacy will put up good numbers behind a good OL but he's been injury riddled in his career and doesn't have the game breaking ability we saw from Richardson or the burst we saw from Ingram.

When has JT helped us? Other them sending 2nd rate players.

Why would we need JC help? JT sends his kids where he feels they will excel PERSONALLY. You have no clue the true story behind the McKnight story and it has nothing to do with burning LSU and everything to do with getting Joe as far away from his negative influences as possible giving him his best possible chance at being successful. JT is not dumb. He is with these kids everyday beginning in middle school. He knows the personalities of his players and where they will excel and where they will fail.
Example: Dillion Gordon.. Curtis knew LSU would have a need at TE. He knew Dillion had a good head on his shoulders and knew he could develop and hold his own at a major BCS university. On the other hand you have a Luke Carpentier or Jon McKnight who's status on a powerhouse high school team made their recruitments overrated and he knew they would not excel at a power like LSU so an Arkansas or Arizona state is more suitable for the success of HIS players.
If LSU is the right place for the kid, JT will help him get there. If not he won't think twice to send him elsewhere. He does not owe us any favors.

On this topic, just remember the name "DeCarlos Holmes".
When his name becomes current again (and it will), ask yourself why St. Aug. would possibly hire him.

Do these kids not have parents? Why would a coach have so much say in where a kid ends up?
