Agree as well...I just think there's probably more coming.

Let's be honest here...LSU hasnt had a visible leader on the field since 2007.

There needs to be a big come to Jesus meeting on this.

BS excuse. People were judging him after that game and continue to do so.

Same goes for JJ. Did he magically learn how to read a play clock? I sure hope so. Does he know that a 2 minute offense requires a quick snap? Or to lead a receiver down field? Maybe, just maybe, he can throw it at the correct colored jerseys.....wishful thinking huh?

What can JJ fall back on?? 7TDs for a season? No progression on his reads. His new tough guy image for ground pounding a Marine....Shawn Jordan better watch out.

Not at all. I don't expect JJ to be a single iota better than he was last year. And even then, he's light years better than JL.

Here's the difference - I'm assuming JJ has made no improvements, yet you're assuming that Troy Aikman is going to slip on a JL jersey and try to play. Which is more likely?

I'm pretty sure the coaches know exactly who the 20-50 are. But just for the moment, let us ASSUME that the coaches do know their identities. Should they also be suspended? Or just JJ? Or just the 4?

If it was around 20 of them out, then I would suspend them for the first half. If it was 50 (which I doubt), you can't suspend all of them...I don't really know what I'd do with them besides run them.

As far as the 4, suspend them for the whole game.

I'm not talking about the whole season...just for this first game.

If they play, it reflects poorly on Les and LSU, and implies that LSU football has zero discipline. (in light of all the things that have happened this past summer).

So maybe the suspensions would serve more as a PR Damage control.

Dont need him to be Troy Aikman. We need a Matt Mauck or Matt Flynn.

At the end of the day, JL was not at that bar. That's enough to start him right there. He's shown through his actions that he should be the one leading this team.

Light years above JLee, when did this happen? Are we watching the same LSU team?

Not at LSU...

Played at a D II school in Arkansas.

Dont say that. I have been crucified by posters and admin cause of that statement. I have said that since Friday morning when it came out. J Lee was in his room talking to the lady friend via skype.

So you know this to be true?

If it is a team tradition to skip curfew and all shouldn't a leader be with his teamates?

So you decide punishment by how many there were? Sounds like they should've gotten the entire team to come.

At this point, we're only talking about curfew violations. The investigation into other stuff is ongoing. Why would you treat the curfew violation of these 4 differnet from the others?

Has there ever been a QB on Tiger Droppings with a more disproportionately gigantic bandwagon relative to his actual on field performance?

I think Mettenberger will lead LSU to Victory with a capitalized V.

Until Mett is ready, we're stuck with mediocrity in the form of JJ and JL. In Mett I trust, but it's not his time yet.

In the meantime, the coaches have wisely decided to be conservative and play close to the vest and minimize opportunities for turnovers. With JJ and JL, it's best to keep their confidence up by giving them achievable goals and keeping them on a tight leash.

Jarrett Lee is the second coming of Jamie Howard.

Deal with it.

This.

I've hardly been a defender of the player's actions but this sounds like the sanest response I've read so far today.

Well what would you do? Why don't you put the coach shoes on for a while.

FYI: I was ignoring the legal ramifications and simply speaking about internal action from the university and the head coach.
