We knew this team lost alot of starters due to draft and opt outs. It was already a shite year to begin with but now O has a chance to do a total rebuild and get ready for 2021. Play the young guys and get them a year under their belt so we not rebuilding 2 years in a row. Max is a O recruit and has shown promise and received praise through his practices leading up to the season. Give him the ball and let him get the experience now rather than wait till the end of the year. Appreciate Myles sticking it through but he is a Les recruit and does not fit what we need now. Slow release, slow footed and cannot create on a broken play. It was painfully obvious yesterday.

Finley is a better athlete, why Johnson? Why is it always the back-up?

To be honest, isnt a backup quality of player starting now? We know what we have in Myles. Johnson will be the better qb with game reps. Start it now

no, you don't want to put in a freshman that isn't ready and ruin him. let him progress to the point hes ready.

Miles Brennan wasn't great yesterday but he was still better than any Les Miles QB after 2007 sans Mett. We would have given our left nut for this kind of QB play 2 or 3 years ago.

This needs serious consideration. Maybe he would be even less decisive than Brennan.

Also, same fans wanting to hold what we have now with Brennan is the same fan that wanted Justin M. To start before Burrow in 2019 bc he earned the right too. You guys need to see what could be had down the road than what is in front of you now.

I don’t see Finley ripping off 80 yard runs like max has done in practice. Are you saying Finley is cam newton? Because I heard max is a 4.5-4.6 runner and flashes power.

You realize Finley is the #2 guy, right?

Agree 100%. If Linehan is the Guru he's made out to be, then it's time to get Johnson ready. It can't get any worse. We're heading back over that cliff of being an offensive laughing stock.

Johnson has more foot speed than Finley. But Finley has lost some fat and is improving. Both will be true RPO quarterbacks in the future. I just don't see Brennan ever being that guy. He makes Mettenberger seem more mobile.

What do you base that Finley is a better athlete on? Seems to me that Max is the better athlete, and has been preparing for this for most of his life. He has the Pedigree to play quarterback at this and the next level.
