We have the biggest recruiting weekend of the year coming up, and at the same time, a home BB game Saturday evening with the nation's 13th ranked team, Xavier.

If you can make the game Saturday, it would serve two great purposes.

We need a signature OOC win for post-season consideration;

And we need a full PMAC chanting REUBEN REUBEN REUBEN!

Time to walk the walk fans, if you are able. Take your kids and your neighbors. This will be a fun trip, and a rocking house is just what the doctor ordered for both BB and RR!

Pass the word.

I'm going, and did I read that everyone is bringing newspapers, not just students?

true, but it did work for top BB player Chris Duhon at Duke (it was the other way around, the football stadium was chanting his name and he committed that day)

I'd rather not single out one recruit. Besides, I wouldn't recognize Randle if he walked in front of me.

A standing ovation and an LSU chant to all recruits would be better.

I have a great idea: Lets chant L-S-U over and over, and maybe SEC if we pull away late, be good for national audience

Some of ya"ll are getting out of hand with this. Yes RR is a great player and I would love to see him in Purple & Gold. But he will not make or break LSU, if he chooses not to come here LSU will survive. LSU is bigger than any one player.

Agree, but how does it hurt to try to woo an outstanding recruit that is still undecided?

What message are you sending the other recruits with Randle by only chanting his name?

How do we even know that RR would like it? He's said to be very quiet, and doesn't care to be the center of attention.

All valid points and I agree with those arguments. I certainly wouldn't want to alienate other recruits. I'm just saying, how awesome would it be to have your name chanted during a nationally televised game? It just seems that would certainly tip the scales in our favor.

Do the Yankee stadium thing where the fans chant each player's name until as they go around the horn. They start with right field and go through each player. In Yankee stadiume they chant the first and last name until the player tips the cap or waves and then move on to the next player. It's a tradition they do before each game up there.
