just an opportunity for the next guy in line... competition is a good thing... and there is plenty of talent there to fill the void, thats what competing is all about, dumbass.. this is different than kick ball..douche

Of course competition is great, but to say that you are happy to lose your starting LG with 23 starts is dumb.

If JD was beaten out of the starting role by Collins or T-Bob because they were outperforming him, that would be an upgrade. Losing him to injury and forcing LSU's hand at LG is quite another.

How do you rank them in order of importance to this game?

1. Cliff - Having Lee start at QB makes missing your star CB a little more problematic

2. Dworaczyk - 23 starts at LG. I think someone can fill his role, but that will take away a talented backup from the other positions.

3. JJ - whether you like him or not, losing your starting QB is never a good thing. Luckily he has never separated himself much from Lee and there should not be much of a dropoff, if any. More importantly to me is the lack of depth at QB now. If Lee goes down, we are up shite creek.

4. Shep - With a different OC the past 3 years, he could have been a huge loss and he may prove to be a major threat later this year, but historically there is not much of a loss here. I wish he was playing though.

I have no knowledge of Kiko, so no comment.

LSU's Evan Washington (back up OT) is also done for the year [broken foot].

I watched the Cotton Bowl again last night. I, honestly, don't think LSU wins without him at the helm

If JJ would play against Oregon like he played against A&M, of course LSU would win. However, he has a more consistent track record of below average QB play.

I don't think Lee playing guarantees a win or a loss for LSU. I think it would be premature to say that without JJ at QB, LSU won't win.

The loss of JJ makes us a lot better.

I watched the Cotton Bowl again last night. I, honestly, don't think LSU wins without him at the helm. He ran the ball beautifully. He picked up critical first downs with his legs mutliple times. He also threw some very nice passes, most notably the 3 TD's to Toliver.

Consistency!! I don't see JJ's loss hurting us at all, it may take away some read option since Lee can run about as fast as I can, but otherwise his arm is much better!!

So is Downs out? I see some people saying that and others ignoring that all together. He would be a huge loss even though we have a good d-line.

This!! Also, with Ware and Ford in the back field.... i seriously dont think we miss JJ's legs as much as some may think. I see us just ramming those two down thier throat...

it doesn't. it's what seperates the sec from the rest of the conferences the most in my opinion. the depth of the teams.

If UO's D can apply a lot of pressure on Lee the fans may gain a better appreciation for what JJ's wheels did for the team. Nothing against, Dwor, but he never appeared dominant to me, Collins will take that spot.

I love this board. Just because he is an African-American QB's that runs at times does not mean he has wheels.

Why didn't Collins win the spot outright during the offseason then?

Are you serious, you still don't know the difference between Josh JOHNS and Josh DOWNS?
