There were some games where he admittedly was totally lost. They'd call a 10 yard dig and he'd run a streak. They'd call a screen and he'd run an out. He needed next level coaching.

He's receiving a check because he's a special teams ace. Dude is one of the best ST players in the league and largely because of his experience at LSU, where he was also a beast ST player.
Had he went to another school and played QB, there would be no way he would have been on special teams and likely never lasted this long in the pros.
He had Odell and Landry ahead of him and Henry was his coach. Just wasn't as good of a receiver as the guys ahead of him.

Russell is doing alright - 1.6 million this year, almost twice what Jarvis made for the year.

Imagine if Myles Brennan looked like Bert Jones and came from a family that could make a good bowl of gumbo, and maybe even visited Canada, and even had a name that sounded like a former coach who could not develop Ryjozaru Perrijeffermettenshepard into a Heisman QB. Coincidence, I think not. Man, it's about to get real up in here.
