Not so much that it's Alabama. It's an Alabama team that is awful. One of the worst in the SEC and going nowhere.

Believe me I am as big of a baseball as I am basketball fan. In fact I only missed 3 home baseball games last year, been to Omaha 4 times but that's beyond the point.
Baseball only fans (basketball naysayers) don't have to dog on this team having the I told u so attitude about it. This loss really sucks and somehow this has become a pissing match about baseball vs basketball.
No matter the expectations and hype here at LSU, college basketball is a lot bigger than college baseball in terms of money tv exposure etc. If you refuse to believe this you are oblivious and ignorant.
Although the coaching adjustments we have seen from JJ are startlingly awful I'm not giving up on this team just yet. Let's give the bball team another shot with a packed PMAC on Tuesday. If we play at the level we are capable of, I truly believe we can beat an inexperienced and undisciplined calipari team. Don't be the guy on this board claiming to be at the game that can relaunch this season and potentially our program for the future

frick, I thought this died.
Back to defending myself...
Where in my initial post did I dog on the team and have an I told you so attitude? I never disparaged basketball as a sport and stated many times that I'm a huge LSU bball fan.
On the other hand, a lot of people dogged the baseball team and the sport.
No shite that college basketball is bigger than college baseball. Nobody tried to argue otherwise.

Chill man I'm not personally attacking you by any means. Just trying to stay positive here. Would be great to give this team yet another shot and fill up the PMAC Tuesday.
Also I was hoping to discuss the loss a little more but have since realized this thread has nothing to do with bball

Well you did respond to one of my posts so you have to excuse me for thinking otherwise considering how this thread went.

Understandable. Guess I'm just pissed about how this team has blown these road games lately. It's hard for people myself included to stay positive on a team that repeatedly kills the energy everytime we get something going.
Would have been great to see a raucous PMAC Tuesday but in some ways it can be justified that our team doesn't deserve this kind of support. Regardless I will be in the house Tuesday with the blind loyalty as always

watching a JJ coached BB team is just as hard as watching a LM coached FB team.

I don't get the one sport LSU fans. It seems like if you are an LSU fan then you are a fan of all LSU sports.

Serious question:
Why let an obviously fixed basketball game ruin your day?
You knew about halfway into it LSU was not going to win. Hell, that five point swing during the comeback was criminal, but to be expected.
LSU wasn't winning this game. Period. You should be happy as a fan that the team made it close despite the obviously corrupt officials.
You were entertained. Be happy about that.
Besides, if these new "rules" keep up, CBB will be unbearable to watch soon anyway. All these rules allow for is more bias with already terrible officials.
