Nah, in this case it would be like Hickey's final shot attempt tonight.

No chance.

Was that because it was a comeback in the last days of the box though? If it was just another year and box wasn't going down while fun it doesn't stand out much more than any other comeback

Yea UCI>>>> LSU Zona basketball. But it was more about it being the last series ever at the old box, to go to the CWS that makes it greater

Twas not a comeback, it was a 21-7 raping to go back to the CWS.

That's like saying the Zona games were just ordinary games. Both times they came in, they were in the top 10 and the 2nd time, they were the top team in the country.

Hardly an ordinary occurrence.

What are you confused about? College baseball has no national presence. Ever see college baseball high lites on sportscenter? Nope

Well, by all means, let's just give up on it, then.

He may have a point about a regular season game though. Usually, LSU baseball is top 10 and expected to win. UCI and every game I can think of was a super regional. Maybe Florida 7/8 years ago? I was a Junior in high school sitting in LF.

It's not astronomical. Baseball may have more buts in the seats but hoops has had 9,000 or so the last few games.

It's irrelevant really. I really don't desire to get into a pissing contest with baseball fans. I clicked on this thread to vent about the loss, not get trolled by baseball fans.

I've never posted in a baseball thread after a loss and been a jerkoff. That much I know is true

It's baseball season soon!!!

Jones is a mediocre coach who will never get this team anywhere. He can recruit and that's it. Not going to climb out of mediocrity with him as coach. At times he seems absolutely clueless on when/how to make adjustments.

LOL WUT?

Paid attendance =/= "butts in the seats"

I really hate arguing this with you, but you brought it up so...

First, no they haven't. They got close a couple times in PAID attendance.

Wanna bet about this too?

Our team is just no well coached right now. I don't know how anyone can make the argument they are. The one sign of optimism was they fought hard to get back in the game tonight and put it in reach for a win but sometimes...I'm just baffled as to what's going through our ole coach's mind.

What's sad is that, had I posted something along the lines of, "at least we have Fournette #BugaNation", I don't thing anyone would have been mad about it.

Surely it wouldn't have escalated this far.

No closing of a venue is far more than chalking it up to equal just a big game. Each was a big game that adding the venue closing added more to the avg fan.

Anyway basketball avgs around 8k on bad years and on good years they jump up to around 10.5 for the avg.
The few times LSU basketball has been good for us the.actual attendance prob is around 8 and bad years prob around 4.
Baseball actual attendance when a bubble team is 6000. Couldn't find actual for cws years

Baseball averages well more than 6,000. Sorry, but that is just wrong. Check LSUsports.net

It might have been a little jab...

I just can't mess (or joke) with the basketball fans like that. You know they're frustrated, and rightfully so. They're here to vent and console not be tormented. And there seems to have been a false hope this year. That has to sting.

That's just me. When it comes to LSU, I'm all baseball. I pay attention to football, but that's as far as it goes. And I'm just not a basketball fan in general, much less LSU. So I don't feel right going into their threads and making any type of negative comment knowing how little I know about things.

But, I'm a basketball fan, too. I had season tickets as a kid and still try to make as many games as possible now. My post was joke as a coping mechanism because, yeah I'm upset we lost tonight.

Like I said earlier, had I substituted "Fournette" for "Bregman" in my original post that started the fire, we wouldn't be having this discussion.

For whatever reason, the posters that ridiculed me and my comment can't stand baseball.
