See you in the PMAC next Saturday after a ranked road win against Tennessee.

I'll see you next season when it's ok to have expectations again.

This team is still living up to, and even surpassing expectations for this season. If you are too dense to realize this, then you deserve to melt like a snowflake after every loss.

People like this should do everyone a favor and not become a "fan" again next year when this team is doing good.

Win or lose it’s basketball, and I don’t want to wait until November when we’ve got a team to root for right damn now.

Just as a reference for your high arse expectations, go look at Kentucky’s recruiting from last year and compare it to our current class. They signed 6 players that were listed in the top 35 recruits in the country. Our highest was Tremont Waters was #40 and only came here because Wade switched schools.

Yeah Kentucky beat West Virginia tonight after being down 17 points, but even this tiger team of ours had the chance to put them away with inferior raw talent and a total lack of depth. Is it not ok to cheer for your team no matter what?

What were your expectations for this year? Was it “ok” for you to have low expectations that they probably exceeded?

A true fair weather fan here, but at least you admitted to it. The best part of seeing a team reach an elite level is watching them grow and supporting them through the bad times.

These dudes suit up for every game whether or not fans show up because this means more to them than it ever will to you as a spectator.

You’re probably one of those that had unfair and high expectations for ben Simmons and antonio blakeney to take us to the final four. But if you knew anything and followed the team annually you’d have known that losing Mickey and Martin and letting Hickey walk was bigger than signing two five star recruits to replace our best players since 06 not named Johnny O’Bryant or Tasmin Mitchell.

Definitely approve of being pumped about next year. But it’s gonna take more than one wave of elite freshmen to get this team to a level people think they’ll automatically be at. Check out A&M this year. Sounds like you’d rather be watching a team implode because it was ok to have expectations than to watch a team with zero expectations.

TL;DR: If there were never high expectations for our team this year, why are people so fricking sour about their performance?

It wouldn’t surprise me if the Tennessee game goes a lot like this one. The team is just too easily exploited. We have no interior presence on defense either challenging drivers or cleaning the glass. Tennessee has two great yet undersized post players in Grant Williams and Admiral Schofield. I think they’ll dominate Epps and Reath. Nothing Wade can do about it, but it’s just the reality of our situation.

I know it’s rough going through these growing pains but it could be a positive for the program and for coach Wade. He’s never experienced this kindve losing before and there are lessons to be learned even for him. It’s going to give him better perspective and a broader kind of experience going through this season and he’ll be a better coach because of it. Everything is on the up and up I just hope Wade doesn’t have a mental breakdown because he’s taking these losses very hard. It’s great to see a coach who cares so much and expects a certain level of excellence, we are in good hands.

Yeah, Schofield might have 15 boards. He’s the kind of physical player that gives us fits.
It’s quite frustrating.

I think we'll do really well @ Tennessee. This Tiger team has a long way to go before joining the elite fleet, but they're improving.

What game were you watching? They didn't fight or compete from the opening tip. That's why they got their asses kicked from beginning to end. If you don't believe that's the case, just ask Will Wade:

"The eight or ninth guy Auburn put in tonight competed better than whoever would’ve been our best competitor."

I don't understand the apparent moratorium on objective criticism. You can recognize the expectations for this team aren't and shouldn't be very high, but also point out that it doesn't excuse not playing hard and with desire. It doesn't take all world to simply just play with desire. LSU didn't at all yesterday

Losing on the road to the current SEC favorites is forgivable. Not even caring enough to compete with them isn't.

I'm not quite over it yet because it was such a poor performance but I do see the big picture here and I'm still excited about what the future will bring.

The first take I have is that those who thought this was a good matchup for us because AU did not have a lot of height either had not seen an Auburn game this year or were not paying attention.

They rebound and defend the post very well despite their height, and their quickness was a very tough matchup for us. It all started with how easily they beat us off the initial dribble forcing early rotations that left guys wide open for threes. It didn't help that they had a guy who was a 28 percent 3 point shooter hit his first 4.

Games like this happen let's see how we come back from it. We whipped Arky pretty good and they have come back with some nice wins of late.

Glad to see you got over your little temper tantrum.

Now, grow some balls and just enjoy not being one of the worst teams in the nation this year.
