wag- I am another old Tiger fan, in my case, since the 60's. I am frustrated, but not ready to throw in the towel yet on Coach Kelly. Yes, the Defensive coaches/decisions leave something to be desired and even BK knows the portal is only a quick fix. He told us previously, he would need another year, but our expectations went through the roof after beating Bama and winning the West last year. My only concern is this team may be 2 years away from seriously contending. We have already lost the top DL La recruit to A&M for next year & even a couple of much needed DB's. We have got to bring in more solid recruiting classes, the portal should never be more than a couple of minor bandaids. I would think BK is also going to need to be more involved with the Defense, especially adjustments. When everyone watching the game knows what Bama is going to 'run' (pun intended) and your coaches allow it to happen and appear clueless, that is a serious problem!! Anyway, let's hope they can win the rest of the games this season, but have to take it week to week

BK did an amazing job last year. This team has been hampered by injury and illnesses to both coaches and players. We need to accept the fact that we are in rebuild mode and the team is not exactly what BK has in mind for a winning team. The foundation is being laid and the standards are being set.

I'm thinking that GA has something to say about it currently.

CBK doesn’t fight for our team during games. He just stands there looking overwhelmed when things go sideways. Other coaches and the Sec officials don’t fear him.

????

Precisely how should he "fight" for the team during games?

Fear him? How?

The lack of emotion really is troubling to me. I’m not saying you have to blow a gasket at everything, like Saban, but absolutely no reaction when you QB is totally demolished on a cheap shot and all your only reaction is, oh well, they said they reviewed it and it wasn’t targeting. Heck, it doesn’t hurt to show some emotion sometimes. Who knows, it might light a fire under your soft arse defense!

I been kind of wondering about this too. We've all seen the clips where he used to turn purple on the Notre Dame sideline.

I wonder if he had a health scare or was just warned by his doctor that he ought to tone it down and be more calm.

He definitely should have been out there turning purple over the JD hit though.
