I thought everyone was bitching about the hitting sucking

I haven't followed hard enough to know the full story.

Anyone want to guess how many first and second pitch outs we had today?

This guy was a rag arm that threw 110+ in 4 innings last week.

Yet we come out hacking on first pitches all day

2017 LSU patented maneuver: watch four pitch walk, get to plate, swing out of arse at first pitch no matter what.

Some of the best hitters in the game go after the 1st pitch. Many think it's a hitters pitch.

That doesn't mean you go after something out of the zone, but if's hittable...why not.

This is exactly right, I've been arguing this all year. Be smart with your selection, make him make consistent great pitches. That pitcher will make a mistake, and then if he's on make an adjustment.

Nothing wrong with swinging at first pitch fastballs in good locations. It's all of the offspeed crap that we swing at on the 1st pitch that's the real problem.
