Im concerned about our passing offense.

Leavitt had to scramble way too many times. We won't be able to do that against the big boy teams. I dont know if kiffin is in love with this WR room. Were they able to get seperation? I think Clemsons DBs were supposed to be really good, but surely we will face some more good secondaries in the SEC...Im kind of nervous about our offense. Dilin Jones is really our only running back, the others are highly questionable.

I’m not concerned. First game and LK’s offense relies on timing.
Receivers need to make the catches as well, Leavitt threw a dime to Tre Wilson on that sideline fade he dropped. I’m not worried about Leavitt’s passing ability at all

Kiffin will use H. Berry a lot as a pass catcher out of the backfield, when that strategy is needed. It was not needed to score 75 against Clemson.

I saw a stat on TV or YouTube comparing Burrow, JD#, and SL first games as a tiger
And SL had better stats, including passing yards, than both

On 9/3/18 another QB made his 1st start at LSU.
He went 14/24 for 140 yds and 0 TD. Be he eventually came around.

WR’s were my biggest concern coming into the season but I was downvoted into oblivion when I mentioned that months ago. It’s a full group of transfers.
Watkins is great but we need Brown, Harris, and Wilson to turn it on as well.

Did he? How many times?
He threw 28 passes, he ran 12 times, and he was not sacked in the game. Of those 12 runs, at least a few of them were designed runs or reads where he ran the ball. Let's be generous to your point and say it was 8 scramble runs. So that would be 36 passing plays with 8 scrambles, plus whichever ones you can tell me were scrambles on the actual passes.
Once we determine that, can you tell me how the resulting percentage of scrambles compares with other teams in the SEC and the NCAA as a whole?

Remember, Levitt didn’t even practice in the spring and he and the receivers are new to each other. They will get better

Watkins, Brown, Harris, and Wilson are all going to be very productive in this offense. Clemson was dropping back into coverage, which dictated a lot of running plays. The time will come. Be patient.

Clemson is full of NFL players. If he can scramble and out run them, he can do it against anyone. This wasn’t ULL, sweetheart.

Leavitt scrambling is a feature not a bug.
