Athens... It will be a long day between the hedges with those monster tailbacks.. Defense cannot defend the screen, no pass rush, and defense looks small at linebacker.. I dont know, LSU has only played mediocre teams! yes TCU is not that good. Auburn might be a small measure of where defense is Sat..

It will be a challenge but the defensive sets have looked very vanilla. Not mych blutzing or stunts on the line.

Defense looks great to me. We have speed at every position. LSU is a nightmare, and every OC in the country knows this.

I'll bet you thought this was hilarious before you posted. Do us all a favor, find a large fire and jump in it

we need to move the two Collins to the bench at CB . move white and Thomas to Cb positions to start and for god sake get 31 out of the middle. we better hope our offense can score because our defense is not very good other than the d-line. It has been hidden thanks to the offense staying on the field so long. Gee never thought I would be able to say that.

Dont worry. Chief has a secret defensive playbook that we're saving until we need it.

well, I saw some positives:
- gang tackling seems to be back!!
- starting to move people around to confuse blocking schemes
- yes, young impact players are getting reps
- playing more of a unit

Some of that talk last week about benching this player or that player was for motivational purposes. But some was not. Seeing both impact play for the better.

The future (some based on TAMU vs Gumps):
- We will have to leave DB's on an island. Chavis is looking for the right combination to do that.

- At times, we will rely on the front 4 only to get pressure. LSU will do what they always do there, rotate linemen, play different techniques. I think they're seeing enough out of younger players (e.g. Neal, Beckwith) to feel comfortable with that.

- Don't know if Chavis is holding back, but right now they're not doing alot to confuse/hide coverages. With youth, not sure where LSU is at with this right now. Will likely improve, needs to improve. This helps with defending the running game.
