Personally, i think the Ducks and Gumps should have to play each other and the winner gets the privilege of playing the Tigers in the BCS. if we make it there.

Hey may be sitting in a barn as he types.

Remember, there are a lot of Rantards who feel obligated to live up to their name.

That said, I do agree with you that, all things considered, Oregon "deserves" a rematch more than Alabama does. And, I think Oregon, like LSU, is a much improved team from September.

Nevertheless, my preference is to see both LSU and the Okies Version 2.0 go undefeated and play in the BCSNCG.

You are making my point, don't know when we come this way again, though next year looks amazing, I want us to beat another team, not the same team.

A real game would be Oregon and Alabama.

Duck,

You guys cried because Dallas was not a neutral site to play us. Dude, where do you think the BCS title game is being played this year. You don't want us in New Orleans, believe me! We've won it all the last two times the game has been played there. Take your Rose Bowl bid and be happy with it.

I think oregon actually matches up well well against bama. Our speed on D is what made us be able to stop y'all. Alabama is pretty fast but not near LSU fast, at least in the front 7. I think y'all would be able to score, but I think it would be very difficult for y'all to stop Trent and Eddie.

Not sure about this. I think Arky would give the Ducks a much better game than Stanford did.

Go look at the points being put up on Arky by the likes of Ole Miss etc. I think Oregon/Arky would be a track meet. 55-40 Oregon.

Georgia is weak...they got spanked by Boise at home. Plus
Oregon fans can't really use this line. It ignores the argument critical to their BCSNCG case, which is: "X team lost in the first game of the season, but is playing a lot better ball right now and could beat Y team in a rematch."

Georgia is playing a lot better ball right now, and I'd put my money on UGA if they rematched Boise. Likewise, Oregon claims that it is much better now and deserves a rematch.
FWIW, it's not like LSU has regressed.

Either a 1-loss Pac-12 or 1-loss Vanishing-12 champ is more deserving than Bama - if that happens to be Oregon, count me in.

However, it's not our opinion that really counts. Prior to the start of the season EVERYBODY knew how #1 and #2 would be selected, and, further, that #1 would play #2 in New Orleans for all the marbles.

Whoever #2 is - we'll play 'em (unless we're #2, then we'll play #1). That's the deal.

Some of you guys need to go back to school, finish 8th grade, learn reading comprehension, and move out of Mama's basement.

LSU whipped Oregon...I'll freely admit it. LSU is easily the best team and most deserving team in the nation. Where a few people need to take off the blinders is with the majority of the SEC. The league is good (and better than the PAC for sure), but what was their bowl record last year? Who have they beat out of conference this year (besides LSU...you guys and Tennessee are the only two teams that don't fatten up on at least 3-4 cream puffs every year - much respect)

The league is down. I don't know which league is good to be honest...teams aren't doing home and homes as much. Would it have been better for Oregon to schedule like most of the SEC and avoid big marquee games early?

Anyway, I absolutely love the passion from you guys.

To summarize...
LSU much better than everybody
'Bama probably better but not as deserving as Oregon
Stanford definitely better than Arkansas (see last years BCS games + one team returned their QB)

Arkansas appears to be pretty solid. I say ARK beats Stanford pretty easily. Stanford looked very slow against ORE. I know ORE is fast, but so is ARK.

Stanford > Arkansas DISAGREE
USC > Penn. St MEH

Also, if you get a chance, check out Georgia's schedule. HELLO! It's the anti-LSU. That is one overrated team.

Personally though, I think this LSU team is one for the ages...although, I got to think a rematch isn't something the natives want with either 'Bama or Oregon.

'Tiger Bait' or something like that

No offense but Bama is head and shoulders above Oregon. There is a reason most LSU fans would rather play Oregon again before Bama.....whether they admit it or not.

Enjoy the Rose Bowl.

Yes, there is a reason. Why should Alabama sit at home, resting while LSU is facing a much improved UGA team in Atlanta, only for Bama to be given a shot at evening the season series with LSU? It essentially punishes LSU for winning the first game against Bama. Alabama lost. They are out, barring an LSU loss.

I agree with everything you said.

Alabama blew their chance and do not deserve a rematch if LSU were to win out.

When it all comes down to it, Alabama would be rewarded a national championship game for losing AT HOME and losing their own division.

frick that. They deserve shite.

It stinks of Nebraska 2001--lose your division, sit back and watch other contenders get picked off because they played a CCG. It does not sit well. Even if LSU wins out, it would be bullshite to lose at home and get a rematch.

I don't think there will be a rematch. If LSU wins out we will play the winner of Oklahoma/Oklahoma State IMO. I think voters will want to give someone a chance that hasn't played LSU already

Oklahoma doesn't get a shot at you. They lost to a 5-5 Texas Tech team. That takes them out as a "one loss" team. If Okla St wins, yea they are in and all this rematch talk is nothing but wasted text.
