LSU 41 Auburn 17...

Posted by sacknquack on 9/16/13 at 1:14 pm
This is going to be a whooping. Auburn barely beat one of the worst teams in the PAC-12. There's no way they could go into Tiger Stadium at night against LSU and hang. If they did, then imagine what some of the better Left Coasters would do.

#tigerbait, or whatever it is y'all like to say.

Moneyg,

Do I think Oregon could beat 'Bama? Sure

Do I think Oregon is better than 'Bama? No.

Oregon is still transitioning from being an also-ran to to top program. There are only a couple D-1 players that come from our state, so there's obviously huge challenges. Until we can recruit better in the trenches, we are who we are. We always will have to convince a kid to leave their area and come to the great NW.

However, Oregon and most of the Pac-12 doesn't run and hide from playing anyone, anywhere. That's what I don't get about the SEC. Why won't they come west...Florida? S.C.? Arkansas? Georgia? 'Bama? etc. If they are so great as we are told ad nauseum, then what's the problem?

Beastfense - it's good to see there are a few logical Tigers out there. Arkansas is why so many people resent the SEC. They are a nice team, but Stanford and USC would thump Ole Miss and Vanderbilt. There's no way Arkansas is a top 10 team (in my opinion - top 20 though)

Some of you guys need to go back to school, finish 8th grade, learn reading comprehension, and move out of Mama's basement.

LSU whipped Oregon...I'll freely admit it. LSU is easily the best team and most deserving team in the nation. Where a few people need to take off the blinders is with the majority of the SEC. The league is good (and better than the PAC for sure), but what was their bowl record last year? Who have they beat out of conference this year (besides LSU...you guys and Tennessee are the only two teams that don't fatten up on at least 3-4 cream puffs every year - much respect)

The league is down. I don't know which league is good to be honest...teams aren't doing home and homes as much. Would it have been better for Oregon to schedule like most of the SEC and avoid big marquee games early?

Anyway, I absolutely love the passion from you guys.

To summarize...
LSU much better than everybody
'Bama probably better but not as deserving as Oregon
Stanford definitely better than Arkansas (see last years BCS games + one team returned their QB)

Were you born in a barn? Go back and read what I said and pull your head out.

Georgia is weak...they got spanked by Boise at home. Plus, they wussed out of a home and home with the Ducks. Their on the SEC schedule manipulation program ( LSU notwithstanding)

Stanford is better than Arkansas. Three 1st rounders on their offense. We were just a terrible matchup with Stanford. After you spank Arkansas by 30, I'm sure you'll agree.

LSU losing in the Natty would be comparable to when Mismi lost - a major shock...especially in N.O.

and I got NO problem saying LSU beat our butts. Turnovers and penalties are mostly a result of what the opponent's D is doing or the pressure they are causing. LSU is friggin' loaded this year.

That being said, I think if you look at Oregon vs. Alabama, then I think a strong case can be made that Oregon is more deserving (not necessarily better), but will have a better resume'. 'Bama is doing their very typical SEC thing of playing the annual November creampuff.

Stanford > Arkansas
USC > Penn. St

Also, if you get a chance, check out Georgia's schedule. HELLO! It's the anti-LSU. That is one overrated team.

Personally though, I think this LSU team is one for the ages...although, I got to think a rematch isn't something the natives want with either 'Bama or Oregon.

'Tiger Bait' or something like that
Your right...Auburn bottled him up.

As for Tennessee (I think they play in the SEC)...

To be fair, you guys beat them as well...

Against BCS conference teams, LSU gave up 21 or more points in 7 of 11 games...including the last 6 of the year.

Duck Bait!!

(all in fun)

I got a feeling I'm goint to enjoy this board...no offense taken on my end. This board gets tons of traffic and is wayyyyyy better than the Auburn board. It's like communism dealing with those donkeys...group think.

Personally, I have to think the Tigers will be favored by 5-7 points based on better personnel, especially in the trenches, and what will amount to an 80-20 home field advantage.

I hope to make it down to Big D to take in some cajun' style tailgating. We do things good in the old Pacific Northwest, but I have a feeling, you guys definitely know what you're doing when it comes to gameday.

Anyway, I hope to stop by regularly. This board looks like a lot of fun.

Geaux Ducks and Duckbait!!

First, I'm looking forward to learning all about your 2011 team, school, traditions, etc. LSU is as big time as it gets. I got to believe that whoever wins in Jerryworld should be ranked #1.

Anyway, my first pre-pre-preseason question for y'all (is that good use of y'all?) is how do you see the 2011 LSU team comparing to the 2010 Auburn team we just played? Offensively? Defensively?

Anyway, looking forward to a great game.

Duckbait!!
