It seems like people want to complain about Aranda being the highest paid DC so therefore LSU should have the number 1 defense.
That’s fine if people want to hold him to that standard, but before they do, maybe they should check out SLINGERs salary and see if his offense lines up with where he ranks on the “highest paid OC” list.

None of the coaches on this staff deserve a pass. Mullens doesn't have "his guys" at Florida and kicked our asses. O, Aranda, and Ensminger have had a chance to get their guys in here. Ensminger just don't know what kind of offense he wants to run. This team has been an inconsistent shite show for the last few years! No Free Passes anymore, we are better than that.

Why does Aranda get a pass? He gets paid very well to perform 12 times a year. He didn't pass this past week.

Does it look like it's being coached by the "best DC" in CFB?
My point in response to your post is that even people defending the D subconsciously know its under-performing.
I like Dave but I'm not seeing it. He's got the 2nd half of the season to do better. And he needs to do better.

Best blitzer and pass rusher on the team is Delpit. You take him out the mix on pass coverage and apparently that leaves our second best safety, Battle, in either pass coverage or run stop, neither of which he is any good at. Meanwhile Stevens sits the bench and Monroe rides the stationary bike. Battle gets a break and we are even worse with Harris in the game. Its a condundrum.

I think Everyone of you know this team would be far worse without him.
And I find It mind boggling that we worried about our defense o let being good and not elite when our offense is shite.

Who's better than him? He's paid the most because he's regarded as the best. But our D isn't playing like it's being well-coached.

Notice where we're at? While schedule strength is a factor there are teams above us who have played comparable schedules, e.g, A8M, State, who with less talent are doing better.
And why do some keep deflecting to the offense side? This thread is exclusively about Aranda.
