Hoping for the team to pull off a Win!! ….and at the very least they’re getting some experience for next year…. I know anything is possible in a football game !! …y’all think we could win with all the younger guys getting some playing time?- I don’t even want to look at Coach O’s presence there!

Imagine loving something so much that you can only find joy when it ends.

Dude I’m pulling for the tigers to win. With that being said we’re going to lose by 40.

If you're an LSU fan and you can't have fun at the game tomorrow your life lacks some serious perspective.

Will it be perfect and everything I have ever wanted? Not at all.

But if thats what you need to be happy you're not a fan as much as you are unstable.

Couldn’t agree more. Football team sucks. Ok that’s out of my control and hopefully Woody pushes the right buttons. One thing I can control is getting loaded on some bourbon and having a good time with the baws tailgating. You only get a few tailgates a year. Got to make the most of it.

Damn right. The weather, the music, the people..relish in the moments my friend. Days on campus for football games are not endless and are finite for us all.

Not me.

I don't get this point of view.

It's really easy to sit in a judge's chair and condemn people for things they are going through. I have seen seeds sown by people that later sprouted and then matured and choked them to death. At some time, everyone goes through seasons in life when--no matter what we do--we totally lose control of everything and nothing works. It sometimes takes several years to work through it. Some folks do, but many try alternative escapes (like suicide, drugs, video games, etc.). Many on the Rant are acting like Job's friends (Job is a Bible character) and giving him coaching "guidance" and criticism, when the man needs encouragement. Most folks have little or no forbearance for failure, but those who do encourage and scaffold those going through these mystifying seasons and stand shoulder-to-shoulder. Someone once wrote "He who thinks he stands take heed lest he falls." We stumble over the very things that once added to success--and we cannot rely on them when we go through periods of darkness. The Team is enshrouded in darkness right now and needs the light of supporters to see their way through. What we really need is to bind up the accusers and listen to the wisdom of those who have been through those seasons, lest we struggle through them without a paraclete to help us. Remember that a word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver--we need to lift up our players on the front lines rather than lashing out at them in their struggles.

We're just talking about the firing of multi-millionaire Meddlin' Ed O, there's no reason to go biblical or wax philosophical.

I heard O is opening the playbook up this week. The offense should look a lot different in every way imaginable

football is entertainment, just like playing golf, going to a concert, or the movies, or a Broadway show, etc. When we spend a lot of money on entertainment, we expect a quality product.

If you played golf at an expensive course and it was in terrible condition, wouldn't you be unhappy? If you went to a concert and the singer sung off-key the whole time, would you be happy?

Now, sports is different than a concert because it's competition, and there's a winner and loser. That's the entire point of it - if there's no winner and loser, it's just 22 guys chasing a ball dressed in colorful clothes. .

There's nothing wrong with expecting a quality product, and being less than thrilled when you don't get it.
