What the hell does this say about how difficult it is to call plays against these teams?
I don't know but Miles would have made half of those games stressful

I support the program and the players. Not the administration and the decision makers. I don’t know what lead to Canada’s dismissal. I also don’t know that Orgeron didn’t push for Hugh or Briles or a more innovative coach. He may have for all I know. The 9-3 was the regular season I imagined we would have with our limited depth at certain positions. Now the administration has made their bed along with the coaching staff. We are in year two. It’s time to show improvements. There is no leeway in regression. I will give the players and staff the benefit of the doubt moving forward. But if they fail I fill blame the administration in having a narrow focus on coaching hires and not going after the best available candidates. Our staff my work out and I hope it does. I will never think losing is the right answer just so I can be right. They are on a short leash and if they don’t improve next year the adminstration should be shown the door. Along with ceo and ensminger. It’s too big of a business and program to not go for proven winners. And that’s the ad’s responsibility.

Because we haven't reached the threshold that you've apparently reached, a simple 'well I was wrong, will you take me back' just won't cut it.
You see, that's not how this works. I've been spending my money on this school all of my life, I never left the club. If O does well, HE is the one that gets to come back to the club, not the other way around.
My contributions pay his salary, he has to win me over.

If that's true then LSU needs to remove itself from the SEC. That means that Moo U, Arkansas, Vandy, Missouri, A&M, Florida, are all bigger and better programs than LSU is now. That also means that we are now below a lot on non P5 schools because a lot of them hired head coaches and coordinators without issue. They had plenty of people interested in their jobs but for some reason, the ONLY one interested in the head coaching job at LSU was Ed Orgeron.

bullshite. Stop buying tickets. Guaranteed if Orgeron was winning championships but the fans still hated him and seats were empty, he'd be fired.

State hired an assistant
Vandy hired an assistant
Missouri hired an assistant
Arkansas hired a guy that was 14-22 at SMU
Florida's runs through HCs like we do quarterbacks
A&M just offered the most ignorant contract in college football history.

Because I’m a Tiger fan and I want to see the team succeed. Until O demonstrates failure I will support him. Hiring E doesn’t instill confidence but that doesn’t mean LSU won’t be a winner.

Good point, but the ranters are like liberals- O could go undefeated next year & they would still say "Yeah, but he lost to Troy last year"...

the same person who was responsible when Bama lost to ULM and when #1 Ohio St lost to Chatahoola, etc and so on and so on and so on

Well your old baw of a head coach hired him and then fired him for 1.7 million. Looks like he should do a better job vetting
it helps if you remember things in context. Yes he should have vetted him more but if you remember there was a big push to hurry up and hire an OC in order to save the recruiting class and perhaps for other reasons that I am unaware of. All I know is the chorus got louder and louder with each passing day. If there is a way, go back and look at the threads from those days. It may help you understand better.
perhaps it was thought Canada would have enough sense to simplify the offense early on until the players got a better grasp of it. Perhaps people didn't realize how thin skinned he was. Things that would be easy to overlook in such a rushed situation. It was assumed that he would be a fairly normal person in nature. Perhaps there were no glaring red flags to point these things out

Poor recruiting the last three years of Miles.....went for flashy rbs....didn’t get anybody that can create a running lane

^This. I admit I was dismayed at O getting hired in the first place. The latest news of SE getting named OC is disconcerting.
But this will play out one of two ways: either O winds up looking like a genius after next season, or LSU cleans house in the AD.
So I'm at wait and see. And hoping this doesn't go south.

Whether you support O or youre against him, I think 99% of us can agree that we’re not on the verdge of competing for championships, which is the reason we got rid of Les in the first place. We paid Les a truck load of cash to go away, which I was all for, so we could get back to competing for championships. Little did we know that “The Search” only had a Plan A & B but wasn’t willing to fight for either and would end up settling for someone that couldn’t get a job as a position coach a few year prior. All because he wanted to be here all along? Now we’re stuck having to watch our program being run in the ground by the good old buddy buddy club. Makes me sick to my stomach
