This goes over A LOT of people's heads. The more carries Guice gets, the more likely his average per carry will go down. It's just the law of averages, but who knows our o-line be good enough to open holes vs bama this season.....here's to wishful thinking
Fournette's numbers through his first 234 carries aren't even close to Guice's. Just saying.

If my memory serves me correctly, there were at least 2-3 games where LF had over 150 yards at halftime and never saw the field in the 2nd half - Guice got the benefit of a tired opponent to get some of his big yards. Don't get me wrong - Guice is great and I hope he breaks every record in the books. I lean toward LF because we know he can withstand the punishment of a full sec season as a starter. Guice won't have the luxury of a backup like himself this year to provide that special 2nd punch in relief the way he did last year for LF. The dynamics may be totally different this year too with a new OC and hopefully more diversified attack. This could mean less carries for Guice than LF had.

I'm just pointing out the fact that Guice has put up better numbers when given the opportunity. That's indisputable.
It's also directed at the people who seem to believe Guice can't hold Fournette's jock, which seems to be a surprisingly high number. Mainly because they're wrong.

Prefer to attempt to tackle Guice...but I also prefer him as LSU's premier RB.

Who would you rather try to tackle?
Guice.
It's a toss up on who I would pick to add to my NFL team. Today's Dallas I'd pick LF. Today's Saints I'd pick Guice.

The bulk of those carries came in 2014 when we started the 2nd most freshmen in the country. None of our starting skill position players had more than a couple games started.
