I would say either an OLman to replace Faulk, Hurst, or Williford, not sure which all time guys we had at those spots, and who among those was the best leader. Or a stud OLB, which none immediately spring to mind. I can think of a few really good MLBs, but that's cheating.
My reasoning is the only game we lost, these positions caused it, through injury.

My favorite LSU player of the last decade= Jacob Hester.
I really liked Dwayne Bowe and Chad Lavalais too.
However, we have alot of talent. What we do not have is leadership.
For leadership purposes, I say I would most like Matt Flynn on the team. He just had the ability to make the rest of the team beleive in him and get around him. That is what we need.

OL - Faneca is the safe bet
OLB - not sure (Trev Faulk ??)

Any of these guys would have a great impact:
Hodson
Davey
Flynn
Faneca
Bowe
W Davis
Faneca was our most dominant OL ever. If I had to pick an OLman I wouldn't consider anyone else.

Josh Reed
why? ANOTHER short WR??
labeling Josh Reed just a short WR makes me think you didn't really watch (or were too young to remember) the 00 and 01 seasons.
dude got open against everyone, when you KNEW he was coming. and he caught everything. all this despite not only being 5'10ish, but not being fast. oh yeah, he could go up and snag a high throw. ask Ga Tech.

I was one of the many who named Reed, and in doing so, I considered going with Bowe (assuming I could designate post-LASIK) or Clayton because of size, but I have NEVER seen a collegiate WR create separation like Reed. It made for such easy, obvious throws because he would just lose DB's on his breaks.

I'd go Faneca.
would also like to see Laron back with the Chief. Put him at LB or SS, keep him close to the line. tackling machine.

I agree. Size in a receiver might be nice but this teams needs someone who can get open and make the catch
Some may be young to remember but josh reed was never covered while at lsu. He was always wide open and made the catch. It was something about his route running but he really never saw a db that could cover him.
Bowe is big an was awesome but I would take reed everyday for this team right now.
