Florida did a Title IX investigation into the complaints and found no violations
I said it in another thread, but I believe the timing of all of it was orchestrated by angry boosters and/or fans. Billy Napier is struggling again in year 3. The fans/booster want him gone. He loses, again, to Georgia to fall to 4-4 on the season. On Nov. 7th, Florida's AD issues a vote of confidence saying Napier will be the coach next season. "Coincidentally", one day later the Florida school newspaper scoops everyone and reports the Golden allegations.
People wanted Napier gone, and they were pissed the AD said he was coming back. So they decided the AD needed to be fired in order to get rid of Napier. A way to accomplish that would be to create a separate firestorm around another sport/coach.
I'm not going to say Golden wasn't pervin on college students. I don't know. But evidently Florida doesn't think he committed any Title IX violations. They didn't panic like Texas...or LSU...and it returned a National Championship...while Texas chose to fire their HC after this season and LSU should have.

To me it sounds like he was doing a few shady things. One or two of the girls even got a lawyer. I think what happened was there really wasn't a crime/smoking gun. Almost like the dudes a perve but they couldn't really fire him for it.
There is no way it was orchestrated though.

Stalking co Ed’s isn’t that big a deal in the Jort community.

Presumably, especially if lawyers were involved, there would have been a few smoking dick pics (that's that she said). I'm not saying the guy wasn't perving on co-eds. But I suspect some influential people associated with Florida athletics (though not University employees) knew he was sleezbagging it up, but didn't really feel compelled to bring it up publicly until they thought it may create needed leverage to fire the football coach.
I just find the timing odd that literally a day after the AD defiantly declares he's going to keep an unpopular and struggling football coach a story breaks that the basketball coach is hitting on students. Almost like when Michigan St realized the gravity of the $95M contract they owed Mel Tucker the "me too" counselor suddenly goes public with a story Mel is tossing off on late night phone calls with her.

it's honestly unfathomable.

Again, that may be so I have no idea, but it should have been brought out, because it's legit over the line. Whether it was orchestrated or not does not change that fact.

It’s the coach. I wonder if Woodward considered him, or if Golden would’ve even considered coming here in the first place.
