he would be the oldest coach hired in a decade. the average age of a p5 coach is 44. quote:
Hate to break this to you but Herm Edwards was hired by ASU at age 63 with ZERO college head coaching experience... Mile has WAY more college experience...

whats laighable is they really believe buidling a program is harder than maintaining one.
Most people with a brain will say getting to the top is harder than staying on top. Once on top recruiting is easier...why do you have such a hard time with logic?
Use facts again to show me how often teams at the top are out recruited by teams that aren’t...I will wait

Most successful people would disagree. Even football coaches. Go look at what spurrier, for instance, has said about it.

Most successful people will say getting to the top is harder than staying there...how many years did it take spurrier to get to the top?
And why didn’t he get to the top at USC?

I will agree with you on this... Getting there is one thing... staying there is MUCH harder................
But did Miles EVER GET THERE????NO...

Ok. Continue with your agenda. Miles sucks or something like that. O’s the best. Yay!

Tell me where Miles made it to the TOP???? Sure he had TWO great seasons... A 2007 NC and A 2011 team that was one of the best of all time... BUT AFTER 2011.. what happened??? He was NEVER ON TOP like you want to say....
Posted on 12/26/17 at 7:08 pm to dukke v
So winning a natty and getting to another natty game and winning a couple of SEC Championships is not being on top?
I always thought you were just a drunk. I never knew you had such high expectations. Damn man. Good for you.

I disagree because the stats are still counted but definitely understanding of the confusion. He was the acting Head Coach and in charge of the team. Splitting hairs but the records will indicate the W-Ls with an *.

A great job?
Sure... The offense was much more fun to watch... They were running plays that ETLING himself said they tried in practice but Miles would not let them run in games... Look.. I want LSU to win every game even though thais not possible,,, BUT I would rather see an offense that has passion and is exciting to watch... We Got that with O and ensminger... Just saying...
YES The hire may not have been the right one but as of now it is what it is... He went 9-3 and you hate the man.. I just don't get it... Miles has been going downhill since 1-9-12... Sorry you can't deal with it.................

That’s not my agenda. I say it’s easier to maintain a program than it is to build one. You counter with read what spurrier said.
Spurrier was on top his entire tenure at UF and it took him 7 years to lose less than 5 games a year at USC...if maintaining is harder than building why don’t the facts support your stance?
I love O because I believe he will be more successful than Miles. The reason I believe that is I don’t think Miles was a great coach...I think Miles clearly benefitted getting the chance to coach LSU at the time he came in. LSU would not be what they were under Miles had Saban not preceded Miles.
If Miles is so elite how did his teams finish unranked almost 20% of the time?

I'm not saying O wont surpass the greatest coaching tenure in LSU history, but what is your basis for O being "great"? He hasn't done anything in his career to indicate him being a great head coach.

And scored less, and we wind up with the same record, but whatever I guess.
