I have to agree that Vandy is an academic asset and usally good at hoops too.
Id say drop Ole Piss for A&M or GA Tech.

Who cares if Vandy is a good academic school?! How does that directly contribute to the other schools?
Im not saying I dont care about national rankings. Being a recent graduate, I am amazed and glad at what LSU has been able to do in the last few years, specifically, make it into the second tier of national universities. Every year, they raise standards. Entering students High school GPAs and ACT scores are getting better and better; the Law School is getting much more recognition, and is probably the best in the state; Honirs college numbers are improving. But how does having ONE very good school in our conference help that??

In this scenerio I would like to see any of the following teams added:
1. Virginia Tech- reach into big state, and bigger cities DC and Charlotte, good fan base
2. Georgia Tech - History, big city,
West Virgina- like fan base
3. Clemson -Set up rivalry with SC (if they stay) good fan base
4. Missouri- Only possible team added in West
Teams to drop:
Carolina
Arkansas
Kentucky
Would not want any other teams to go.
I don't like the idea of adding any more Florida teams (espescially UM) or Texas teams.

I would cut Kentucky. They belong in the Big Ten and would fit in well up there. I'd replace with GA Tech. That'd really make the east even more interesting.
My second choice would be to send ARky to the Big 12 North and get A&M or Houston in.

Leave as is, just have every SEC team play every other SEC team and 1 OOC team in a BCS conference.
...and still have a conference championship of course. Talk about Strength of Schedule.
Vandy, UK, and TENN > App St, Troy, N.Texas

I don't think anyone can really seriously think that a team from TX should be in the SEC. Do folks really think that TX is part of the Southeast?

I would say lets take Auburn, GA, FlA, and UT out of conf. and replace them with Memphis, southern miss, USF, and East Carolina. This way we would win a respectable conf. year in and year out. We might even play for more nat. championships. LSU would become one of the all time great programs in a hurry and rank up there next to USC, Mich, and ND which all play in conf. like the one I propose.

"Give" Carolina back to the ACC where they can win the conference, give us FSU... because this is where they should have been a loong time ago.

That's right, let's get TU back too!

South Carolina for Ga. Tech. Easy.
I would say Vandy, but I agree with academic standpoint.
No way would I drop one of the current SEC schools for a non-BCS entity. There's a reason why Memphis, Houston, UAB, and La Tech are where they are.
Louisville is a school that I think may work out as an SEC program, but I don't see the state of Kentucky supporting two BCS squads.

Well, as far as media coverage goes LSU is considered Southwest and we get lumped in with the Big 12 on the fox sports networks. I hate that we don't get FS South over here. Feels like we kinda get left out waaay over here in the Southwest.

Cut Kentucky and add Jacksonville State !!

You'd be better off dropping Ole Miss than State b/c Croom is recruiting Mississippi better than Orgeron or Nutt according to my friends in Miss. But I'd rather change our regularly scheduled East opponents...it's unfair that every year we play UF and some lucky schmucks play Vandy or until the last few years, Ky.

Louisville needs to join the Big 10 + 1 and make it the Big 10 + 2 so they can have two divisions and a championship game.

What?????
Sure, I'd love to drop one of the most entertaining games of the year with Vandy.
Did you go to the game last year?

Keep Vandy forever just because they are a Charter member? Why not invite back Sewanee then?
If the SEC were ever to shake things up, USCe should be in the ACC, and Vandy, while a great school, just doesn't have a lot in common with the other SEC schools.
Bring GT back in and get another Florida school. I think FSU would be a better fit than Miami.

No way do I want Miami, thug nation, joining the SEC...
My vote is to keep as is.
