Nope, they can lose one and not play in the SEC championship and still be in the national championship for the third time

Nope

Gary even said on the broadcast yesterday it’s gonna take Bama losing twice. Granted they play us, Hail State, and Iron Bowl so anything is possible but highly doubtful they lose 2

They fall to #2. The back door for them to sneak into the playoffs (again) is wide open with the beat down Ohio St took last night.

Need ND to go undefeated and a 1 loss champ or better from SEC, ACC, and Big 12 and the Gumps to lose in the SEC championship or be left out of the championship. They’ll probably just claim another fake title anyway

Not sure if they can do it this year

Unbeaten Notre Dame in
One Loss sec champ in (LSU, Florida, Georgia)
Michigan Big Ten champ in
Clemson unbeaten in
Texas could get in over Bama big 12 champ with one bad loss but a win over Oklahoma.
UCF could somehow get in especially with back to back unbeaten seasons.
Ohio State with a win over Michigan and the Big Ten championship could also be in.
Bama’s best win would be MSU and Texas A&M.

If no upsets happen it’s likely Bama gets left out there are multiple resumes better than Bama if they don’t beat us. But watch everyone say Bama deserves to be in because of their one loss to LSU on the road.

They will drop them to whichever position lines them up to play ND. This guarantees them a spot in the finals because ND doesnt belong there.

Lol no.

Losing to the #4 team on the road will keep them as the top ranked 1 loss team for sure.

The only times since 2010 that a loss dropped them more than 3 spots were in 14 and 15 against OM.

In 14 they dropped 4 spots from 3 to 7.

Shockingly in 15 they dropped from 2 all the way to 12 after a 6 point home loss to the #15 Rebels.

But no that isn’t happening this year.

The only way a 1 loss Alabama gets left out is if LSU wins out, or loses to a 1 loss UF in SECCG, Notre Dame and Clemson win out, and Michigan and OSU win out until they play each other.

A 1 loss UT would be interesting given their connection with ESPN, but I’m still not sure they would make it in. Would absolutely need OU, WVU, and whole Big 12 to win out, and Maryland as well. But that loss would likely give Saban the edge he needs.

It being a week 1 loss gives them a chance to escape it though.

Ok, LSU beats Bama. What then? We join up with our Tiger hybrid cousins on the Plains and become rabid War Eagles for the Iron Bowl, and look for Aubbies to play an inspired game and lay another L in Saban’s lap.

Indeed

I meant other than us. That would have them at 4 at worst. Not sure they would even fall behind ND, but probably.

They wouldn't and they shouldn't.

Jesus, guys, they are clearly one of the top 4 teams in the country even if we beat them.

Bama would go over Texas even if Texas were the Big 12 champion.

Nana and Michigan would be close, if Michigan were a 1-loss Big Ten champion.
