Yeah one time in 2008 I was listening to a local radio show on my way home that was bashing the SEC OOC scheduling. I got so pissed at these PAC10 homers, I got on the computer when I got home and did the research. I then called them with that list. They said "You're right". They were shocked. It was pretty funny and they asked me to keep calling, but I haven't called back since. I hate PAC10 country.

Powder-Puff-10 doesn't have near the amount of injuries as the SEC. Did anyone see Heisman winner Leinert or Heisman winner Bush have concussion problems? They weren't getting hit!!!! When Leinert finally got hit in the NFL, I think it pissed him off. "WHY ME?" Maybe other teams aren't allowed to blitz USC? Kentucky knocked Heisman winner Tebow out. I wonder if Auburn or LSU will let up on Heisman winner Mark Ingram? He's got a bull's eye!!!!! Every LB/DB in the SEC wants to make Sportscenter for their hit on Ingram this year. Ingram's a great kid and I sincerely hope he is injury free. AUBURN took out Glenn Dorsey with a cheap shot, they'll take out Ingram. Give Craig Loston a 30-yard head start running directly at a running back and watch what happens.

Matty Heisman played behind a stellar OL at USC until Texas knocked his arse around pretty good and he got pretty shaky. Marshmallow Leinart will never be the man here in Phoenix or anywhere else in the NFL. The Cards will find that out this fall.

I think Kurt Warner had another good year left in him even if Bolden bolted. I thought Warner and a hopefully matured Terrell Owens would have made a good fit for Phoenix with Fitgerald. I think the concussion against the Saints scared the living daylights out of him. Smart move to leave if he feels "called'' to do something else with his life. I will miss seeing his highlights on Sundays. It looks like lowlights coming with Leinart. I'll enjoy seeing those also, SORRY. Anytime somebody knocks the dogmess out of Leinert, I enjoy it a little too much!!!!!!

I don't think they'll miss Boldin as much since Breaston is pretty good and Doucet is coming along nicely now that he's had the opportunity. They're gonna miss Warner big time. I like Warner. I expect Leinart to be benched some time this year. I was never, ever impressed with him at any point in his football career, college or pro.

I will be there when the Super Bowl champs hand them their asses on October 10th...again.

LSU probably has the best OOC of any SEC team this year. Tennessee always schedules tough OOC because they have to show the flag for recruiting purposes.

But LSU needs to get off the pot and schedule USC.

Too bad the fans don't get a say.

I just don't think the following teams are any good

Kentucky
Vanderbilt
Ole Miss
Miss State

All four have won a bowl game within the past three seasons. They are better than the dregs of any other conference.
quote:

South Carolina and Auburn are very up and down.

Auburn is much more up than down. They've had several top 10 finishes in the 2000s. South Carolina I agree.
quote:

Georgia can be up and down also.

Oh please. Georgia has won 90 games in the past nine years. They haven't had worse than a 8-5 season since the '90s. They've been double digits in wins several times, finished in the top 10 a few times, the top 3 at least twice, in the 2000s. There is no Pac Ten team outside of SC that has Georgia's resume`.
quote:

Alabama was a door stop until Saban came back.

Alabama was undefeated and ranked 3rd in the country when we beat them in 2005, two years before Saban came back. And besides, Saban IS back, and they are the national champions. Currently, and historically, they are the SEC's strongest program, and one of the top two or three programs in the nation.
quote:

So in my opinion, you have three good teams.

Florida
LSU
Alabama.

Tennessee is in the SEC, but you left them out. Historically, they are a top ten program in the nation, although currently they are even worse than Southern Cal.
quote:

And you don't always play them every year..

We play Auburn, Alabama and Florida every year, along with a rotation that includes Georgia and Tennessee twice each every five years.
quote:

Florida never leaves the state of Florida OOC???

When you have Florida State and Miami in your state, you don't have to go out of state to find good non-conference opposition.
quote:

If your teams travelled up to Minnesota or Oregon or Ohio State in November when it can sleet, Hail and SNOW and the weather and wind tanks your passing game plus any speed away. You would find yourself losing more games than you do.

Thank goodness weather is never a factor down here in the south.
quote:

And your out of conference games are against patsies..

Be sure to remind Virginia Tech, Arizona, Arizona State, Oregon State, Washington, North Carolina and West Virginia that they are all patsies. We have played or will play all of them from 2004 through this season.
quote:

It doesn't hold water to me.

So? You're in a conference that can't win a single game in, what, 8 tries against the Mountain West? And we're supposed to give a shite what holds water to you?

Agreed. One thing though, why is it always """""""JUST"""""""" up to LSU?????????? There have been discussions between Skip, Nick, and now Alleva and Miles with Garrett, Carroll, et al, about potential playing dates over the last decade.
If scheduling snafus occurred, or dates could not be changed or arranged, or the money was not right, or neither team wanted to play the first game away, or the opponents before or after a potential match-up would not have worked, etc. etc, etc., then why is that """"""""""""JUST"""""""""""" LSU's fault ??
Why can not USC get off their collective pots and """""SCHEDULE LSU""""" ??????

Blame Miles and then Alleva. Miles won't play anybody of USC's caliber OOC. Alleva won't schedule anybody Miles doesn't want him to.

From what I have heard (and this is hearsay, so keep in mind it could be complete BS) USC has approached LSU about the kickoff classic. LSU has shown no interest.

FWIW, I have heard rumors that there could be a potential LSU-USC match-up in the new Cowboys Stadium in the near future, so there is "some interest" in it.
I don't think you're correct on your opinions and assumptions about Miles and Alleva. They have both stood in front of packed alumni, booster, and award ceremonies and stated they would like to schedule you guys and/or other BCS-caliber opponents if possible; but it has to be a contract that """""""""""""""BOTH""""""""""""" schools can agree on, not """""""JUST"""""" LSU.

Now, what contracts first Bertman and now Alleva HAVE been able to agree on with other schools ADs have been: Virginia Tech, Arizona, Washington, North Carolina, West Virginia, Arizona State, and Colorado, (so far). Those teams aren't exactly chopped liver. They are not THAT MUCH below USC's """""caliber."""""

Maybe we'll know in the near future. Would be a cool match-up.

Absolutely would be a cool matchup.

I doubt we'll see it though, which sucks.

You may get Oregon in that kickoff classic though.

More likely scenario, already highly rumored.

Its in LSU's best interest to create national interest. LSU needs to grow its fanbase.

That's a crock.

LSU's future schedule has gotten MUCH stronger under Miles' watch.

And I don't think Alleva is the scheduling coordinator, he's the AD. I promise you that is a delegated responsibility that Miles has much more say in than Alleva.
