I read an article in the Birmingham News the other day and they made it sound like Slive wanted Texas and Texas A&M in the West and Miami and Florida State in the East.

If Texas and aTm come, the SEC would become a complete monopoly for football. The winner of the SEC should automatically get a spot in the title game if this were to happen.

Since I prefer the SEC to be a "southern" conference (sorry Texas), I would want Clemson, FSU, Georgia Tech, and UNC.

I would take Texas & Texas A&M for the West.

Florida St. & Miami for the East.

I believe that would put Fla St & Miami back in Football conference where they belong, they are not Basketball Schools.

Also by Texas and Texas A&M being in the West would equal both divisions up power wise.

The only thing with Texas is do they want to go where they will have to play more than 1 or 2 games a year to be eligable for a BCS bid? It make them have to work really hard just make sure they break even.

We could get ULM, they did beat Bama a couple of years ago. Texas would more likely go to the pac-10 than the SEC.

Hard to imagine any of the big Texas or NC schools joining the SEC.

Three natural fits would be FSU (however, they should have to play a disproportionate # of road games as punishment for not joining the SEC in the early '90's), GaTech, and Clempson.

As a 4th candidate: Miami, Houston, Louisville, ? ? ?
