You guys just have to accept that the committee, for whatever reason, wants OSU at 1.

Unless they get beat Saturday, they will be the 1 seed.

It’s over.

LSU could beat UGA 77-0 and Ohio State could win 21-20 and it won’t matter.

They adjusted the rank of other teams specifically to justify OSU staying as the 1 as long as they win.

They'll probably drop Wisconsin only 1 or 2 spots to stay in the top 10 and still be ahead of Auburn and Alabama.

That said, LSU will have wins over probably #6-7 Georgia and #7-8 Florida.

I don't think it happens. The CFP committee has clearly set it up to give OSU the #1 seed with a win. And the reason is going to be because they "have more wins over ranked teams than LSU". The counter to the SHOULD be that LSU would have 3 top 10 wins to OSU's zero. But by ranking Bama BEHIND AU AND PSU, they made certain to kill that argument. Idle Bama is not going to be able to jump idle Auburn and idle PSU. That means even with losses by Wisconsin and one of OU/Baylor, Bama can't get in the top 10

They are going to rationalize "quantity over quality", because they made certain that Cincinnati isn't going to fall out of the top 25 even with a second loss to Memphis. The rationale will be that OSU has 5 top 25 wins to LSU's 4. In a rational world at least 3 of LSU's wins (Bama, UGA, Florida) would be "better" than OSU's best win (PSU). Quality over quantity. But by ranking PSU ahead of Bama, the committee made certain that LSU can't have 3 better wins than OSU's best win. And they also made certain to keep Wisconsin ahead of 3 loss Auburn even if Wisconsin loses again to OSU.

The set up is blatant....and I'm not a conspiracy nut!

The Big swing will be this Saturday. LSU will drop TAMU and add Georgia. OSU will see Wisconsin fall behind all four of LSU's wins. Leaving them with one top 10 win and LSU will have 3 top 10 wins with a possible 4th in Bama.

This is how it should work, but we've already seen how the committee will pull rankings shenanigans to get their desired results. Who's to stop the committee from dropping UGA out of the top 10 if we win? Or only dropping Wisconsin a couple of spots to #10?

You'd better believe they are crunching the numbers in every possible scenario, so they know just how much rankings need to be adjusted.

This. They haven't faced an offense or defense as good as ours.

I'm hopeful that Memphis beats Cincy.....again

Why, so Cincy can drop to 21?

Funny thing is that bowl season will show if the rankings are justified. I can easily see PSU-Bama, Wisconsin-Florida and Minnesota-Auburn matchups happening.

We would play Clemson in Phoenix

Not so fast...

Phoenix is Buckeye Country...Ohio State is going to choose to play there over playing in Atlanta.

We will beat UGA but then the committee will use a different excuse.

Perhaps something along the lines of lateness to change things up. Both teams won conference. Who the hell knows but we as Tiger fans might as well get comfy at 2.

The good news is that has to piss out team off. Especially the D. They will bring it hard.

I expect the committee’s final poll to see major changes. Once they have ALL of the “data points”.....things will line up as they should.
They have to create controversy every week to keep us poor fools bitching and complaining.

Let things play out.
