If TCU loses and LSU wins out, could 3 SEC teams get in?

I was thinking about this scenario at work today:

TCU loses and they’re out.

USC loses to UCLA. They’re out.

Ohio State wins out. They’re in.

UNC loses to NC State - they’re out.

UNC beats Clemson in the ACC championship- Clemson is out.

LSU wins out, they’re in as the SEC champs who now have the premier win in college football this season (knocking off No.1 UGA).

Now, your 1 loss candidates are UGA, Tennessee, and Michigan.

No way Michigan gets in over UGA or UT.

That leaves 1)Ohio State 2) UGA 3) UT 4) LSU.

I don’t see how the committee could get around putting 3 SEC teams in but they would somehow. I can’t see them letting the playoff be 75% SEC even if they had to blatantly be biased about it and create a reason to put an inferior team to Tennessee in

It may happen but it Ohio State-Michigan probably has to be a blow out one way or the other, or there be an upset in the B10 Championship game.

Just having this discussion is so much fricking fun after 20 and 21.

Nothing is impossible. If committee thinks that 3 sec teams are amongst the 4 best then they are obligated to put 3 sec teams in. (I know what I’m saying is written in pixie dust)

Tigers lost out on the opportunity to be victims when they lost 40-13 in Death Valley

Personally I can’t see a 1 loss michigan team with that schedule getting in over Tenn.

Tenn would get in over clemson as well.

Tennessee gets left home if lsu beats uga.
Bama is the only team that gets to back door their way in.

Why wouldn’t a one-loss Michigan team get the nod over a one-loss tennessee?

We did lose to Tennesse, but UGA beat them convincingly. The scenario everyone is talking about is if we now beat #1 UGA, then we are in. All 3 teams would then be 1-1 against each other. Tennessee is not getting in ahead of an LSU SEC Champ (if we also take care of UAB & A$M), they did not even make their conference championship game. LSU would have beaten three top 10 teams if we can win out.

Their strength of schedule is terrible. Their one ranked win is against Penn St.

Because the big 10 has 2 really good teams in OSU and Mich. 1 good team in Penn st…………..and nothing else at all. Tenn has much much better strength of schedule
