Wow, that's a pretty good resume' thus far. He's primed for a tier 1 gig.

My only worry is that he entered this season on the hot seat. Looks like hiring Chizik was the saving grace, so maybe he does at least try to do something about the defense.

The calls should go in order to:

Jimbo Fisher--Florida State
Gary Patterson--TCU
Dabo Swinney--Clemson
Chip Kelly--Philadelphia Eagles
Tom Herman--University of Houston
Justin Fuente--University of Memphis
Dan Mullen--Mississippi State

That is perfect, i think Gary Patterson would do some good things with the talent we have

Where do you people come from? This isn't Monopoly money we are talking about.

not sold on Fuente just yet, but he has done remarkable things at Memphis... I still think Gundy would be the guy to get..

I hope this is the dumbest thing I read on here this week.

When was the last time Gruden even coached? Who is making out this blank check? Why would Miles want to stay on just as a recruiter?

You sir, are an idiot.

Why are people all hype on Gundy? For one, I'm not sure why he'd even want to leave OSU. He loves it there, he played there, he has a billionaire supporting the program. Secondly, it isn't like he's an offensive genius. He's brought in OCs that bring offense's with them and let them do work.

I wonder if the rant will want the replacement fired after two losses as well.
Oh, most definitely. If it isn't Saban, most will be screaming about the hire.

You're a fool if you think it's only the rant.

Yeah the same "gimmick" offense (as every offense is called by LSU tards) that put up 27 pts on the best LSU defense of all time.

I also remember Dinardo beating Saban so there's your logic at work.

Yep, that same offense that has been in more NC games than we have since 2010.

Not to mention the similarities between that offense and say Ohio State's offense. But yeah, that gimmick shite wouldn't work here.

Jimbo is definitely first and I'll probably take heat for saying it but I'm a Charlie Strong fan. He's recruiting against 5 teams in or very near his recruiting base when they are all having success and he's pitching crappy performances. Honestly I think he is a very good coach and would be a great recruiter at LSU...

Well with Strong, it doesn't look like he can handle things in a program with high expectations. He seems better off where the expectations are low for the most part.

Head coaches that put out strong defenses every year are rare. I would look for one of them and ask for any offensive coordinator that runs a pro style offense. Seems to have worked for bama.

I the expectations are really high at Texas and that's the problem. They're the 4th-5th best team in their own state.

Its well documented that He and TBoone have had a falling out, its one of the reasons he almost left last year. He interviewed for two jobs and supposedly really wanted the Tennessee job a few years ago. He just got passed over for Butch. Plus its about that time for him to make a move, he has been there and the itch gets the best of many coaches, they dont want to stay somewhere too long and get complacent. Also, he did an interview on when he was Miles OC him and the TE's Coach at the time, now the OC at Missouri would fight constantly with Miles on opening up the offense. His exact quote "If it didnt involve a fullback and two TE's he didnt want to hear it". His exact words. Plus Gundy has had very good offenses and has built the program higher than when Miles was there, he has improved it. To me that is a key ingredient. His offenses are balanced and he would use our phenomenal athletes on offense way better. He could hire a sharp defensive coordinator with LSU's reputation easily.

Not saying I would want this but just trying to think of names that would hypothetically be brought up.. Would anyone here want petrino because I think people would talk about him being an option to get back into the sec..
