I agree with this. It is short-sighted to look at the win-loss record alone as the measure of his success. He's done a great job recruiting but at the same time, there seems to be some deep issues underlying the program. And we only see the tip of the iceberg. Just remember Archer, Dinardo, etc. The team got steadily worse until we had to get someone with the strength of Saban to turn things around.
While the team is 8-3 (probably 8-4) this year, we are only going downhill and it would be crazy to wait until utter disaster before we make a change.

Tiger1 or Tiger2..both from before my day. It's just when people start with that same stuff RobbBobb does about LSU/La politics, etc..in terms of the LSU HC position..
That is so yesterday..aka before Emmert and 1M HC, then top pay plus a buck, and subsequent 2nd BCS LSU-HC payscale..
Plus, the program's income at alltime highs and popularity.
Etc..
This thread would've been better titled "what few HCs wouldn't come to LSU, if offered?".
