Turned it over uncharacteristically 17 times and still lost by 1.

Well we were out rebounded by about 17, which is uncharacteristic, do we get to claim another chance also.

If MSU wins, MAYBE LSU makes the top ten in the final rankings. But I doubt it. 13th to 15th is my guess.

Hey great idea! Some on this board would cream to get one of those shirts. LSU has great talent but glaring weaknesses starting with outside shooting and how to attack the zone when the outside shots aren't falling. Tough task. Love the Tigers but worry about what's in the near future for the program.

What, are we Texas A&M now?

LSU made a good run. Let’s celebrate that, not dismiss it with this stupid talk.

I think UCF already hung their national championship banner and ordered the rings.

So Bradley could be the 2nd best team in country too?

I started a thread several months or weeks ago about how many times LSU lost to the eventual National Champions after advancing at least past the 1st round! 3 years running from 79-81; Indiana in 87 (gott-damn Fess Irvin and his 85% free throw stat); Louisville in 86; North Carolina in 2010; etc.

And as for “that’s not how it works”, true, but it might be for the year we lost to North Carolina in 2010!

LSU could technically be the 2nd best team in the country.

Even if it was, we would not be the 2nd best team after getting dismantled by them. Somebody else who played them a closer game would be the 2nd best team.

Couldn't any team that lost to them say the same thing?

UCLA!

If not mistaken, I think Florida won it all in 2006.

So the bigger questions are:
1. Do you feel better losing handily by 17 (LSU), or by 1 (like Duke)!

Personally, I don’t think I could sleep for a while losing a nailbighter.

2. Do we pull for Auburn???

I just don’t know if I can stand them winning a BB Natty < us!

Not technically, but theoretically, yes. But its like that in any sport when you lose to the national championship team in a playoff.

I thought the winner of the NIT was the second best? Only two teams end the post-season with a win, so the NIT champ must be the second best!
