I don't think he would be a waste at backup QB. Thats where he should have been all along.

Wouldn't it be more of a waste for him to become 6th on the depth chart at RB or 4th at TE?
And FWIW, I don't think that Mett starts if Crowton is here next year.

I am not sure if Crowton will have much say, but I do agree that JJ will still start. Miles has a loyalty problem to both coaches & players. Bad ones are rarely demoted.

this is dumb...he doesn't have the skill set or talent to play any other position(or qb) actually he shouldnt be playing college football at all

Knowing Miles I would expect Jefferson to play QB...and to play a lot more of it than majority of LSU fans would like...regardless of how good Mett is.
Mett starting Oregon game and getting 90+% of snaps next year is a pipe dream IMO.

This. Although JJ has shown flashes of greatness, like bama this year and the bowl game his freshman year, he wouldn't start anywhere else in the SEC imho.

Have you never watched football? Backup QBs are often needed. As bad as JJ sucked this year, it would put us in a great position to have a backup with as much experience as he has.
And for all you tards who go on and on about "Les is loyal to JJ and he would never start Mett..." you are acting like JJ was playing over Joe Montanta. Les's loyalty to JJ begins and ends with his fear of Jarett Lee. That's it. In his 6 years here, the better QB has played every year.
(and yes, as bad as JJ was at times, I think the 2nd half of the season proved he's clearly a beter QB due mainly to the runing demension he brings).
