I think he is good enough to have a season like Bowe or Clayton.

I'd say pretty good. Krag is a pro-style offensive coordinator and JJ is anything BUT pro-style.

He's got all the tools to be a great WR.

I'm not trying to take anything away from JJ, but week in, week out he isn't an SEC caliber QB. He occasionally has a good game (mostly coming off a bye or when he has ample time to prepare for a game), but over the course of a year, he just isn't good enough.

... we'll have a lot better team, and a fun offense!

If JJ starts, we'll be on edge hoping the defense will bail us out with the exception of 1 game or so.

Without a doubt...Randle did pretty good last year even with inconsistent play at QB...whomever the qb is this year if met or JJ gets better because of this Randle will thrive...I wanna say he was underrated but he was the #1 wr coming out so its hard to say that but we havent heard much talk about him...I think sheppard gets better play too

Just watching the way he moves and adjust to balls, Randle could be a beast...potentially the best WR to ever play for LSU. A good QB with a legit offense may help him out. I really think this kid could be special...just been hindered by an under average passing QB, and an offense that wasn't effective at the big time college football level.

Why just Randle? When Mett starts every reciever will get at least 12 passes a game and each will have at least 2500 yards this year. Mett is the SAVIOR!!!

I see JJ stepping his game up this off season. Not saying he will be All-SEC or anything but I can see him responding well to being pushed by Mett.

Just his starting QB gig, huh.

We shall see. I'm just hoping the guy will come in, shows me something, push the others, and gain some playing time to get him ready for 2012 cause that's when we will really need him big time, but if he rocks this season and we go 12-1....great for LSU.

I feel the same way. I'm sure all of us agree that JJ will be the starting QB coming into the 2011 season but say if his numbers are poor and Mett comes in and makes a big impact, is there any slight possibility that Krag will use JJ as a WR? He has the size and speed right?

I really hope that all of our QB's get an equal opportunity to start. I think that all of the guys bring something different to the table and all of them deserve the opportunity to compete for the starting job. The thing that makes this season a little hard is that we start out with Oregon, so you don't really have time to get these guys good "Game experience" I would like to see in the spring game all of the guys getting reps with the first team offense.

having a new OC is a way to get JJ out of the starting lineup, Miles has the fallback to say, well. Mett or Lee have just picked up the new offense better then JJ...Im sorry but i refuse to believe Miles wanted the option to be run last year...

I agree. I can't see JJ starting. He may come in during special situations, but I believe Mett will give us best chance to win every week. I can't say he won't make mistakes, but I just see the whole offense being better with more of a passing game threat.
Some people seem to forget before the Cotton Bowl JJ only threw 3 TDs all season long!

I think no matter who we start Randle will have a huge season. But especially is Mett starts. Randles NFL stock will soar with Mett as the QB.
