Right now LSU has beaten the teams ranked 4,5,9,12,13.
By seasons end all could be in the top ten
Beat Clemson, that would be 6 teams possibly in the final top 10, at least top 15.

It ranks up there with the 80s-90s Miami teams in terms of elite dominance over everybody else.

If we were a Tier 1 media darling, the "All Time Greatest Team" talk would have started after we won the SECCG.
I guarantee you if you if Bama did what we did this year with that schedule, they would already have the label. They would also still call Texas a "Top 10 Road Win" if we were Bama as well. LOL
Downvoters know my post is correct.

Been chatter from A LOT of talking heads and non LSU homers about this team being the #1 all time, assuming they win out.

That's a crap list.
54. 2003 USC
102. 2003 LSU

102. 2003 LSU

2011 LSU TEAM was better than 2/3 of the teams on that list, at least. Unfortunately, they didn't finish the job.

Which Miami beat beat all the #1s in the 1 season?
IMO, that team is ranked higher than this LSU team. Not by much. But, that Miami team can't be ignored.

Without looking at the list I would say 95 Nebraska, 04 USC and 2001 Miami are the three best teams of all time. With a win, LSU will absolutely be on the very short list of best team of all time. Especially if they end up like that Miami team and have like 20 future pro bowlers on it

If LSU beats Clemson handily they should be #1. All time. Look at the body of work all season long and how unstopable the offense has been. And all that crap about no defense....they have proven the defense is there now just minus injuries.

I think this team could beat 1995 Nebraska.

1991 Miami - they beat #1 Florida state and steamrolled Nebraska 22-0 in the national championship. That Nebraska team averaged 40 points a game...
2001 Miami is another one.
1987 Miami beat 5 top ten teams including that embarrassment of Notre Dame.
1995 Nebraska was also pretty damn dominant
If LSU embarrasses Clemson, it could be considered one of the greatest in the modern era.

what other LSU teams has gone 15 - 0 ?
what other team has done it by the margin of points against the number of ramked teams?
...assuming we win out.

Depends on if they beat Clemson and by how much.
