Get the team ready and don't lose to Bama then.
3 chances down 5 to go
3 chances down 5 to go

Doesn't would not be capitalized.

WE cannot hang with them.

You sound like a complete idiot saying "No matter how Bama got there"

Grammatically, I disagree with you.

That argument is Bull shite from both ends. LSU would have been in the NCG if we'd lost to Bama in OT last year. Bama was not given special treatment over OSU. They were the better team and had an equivalent record.
This is what bullshite.
OSU beat 5 ranked teams.
Bama only beat 3 teams with a WINNING RECORD.
Osu won its conf
Bama didn't win it's division, let alone conf.

usatoday is picking up on it as well.

If this is so true then you believe with our weak schedule this year starting from number 2 if we lose a close game at home to Bama we get a rematch. If you think that you are delusional. Yet last year that was the privilege given to Bama. No bias at all.

The purpose of the BCS is to match the two best teams up for the championship game. Nobody in their right mind can say that LSU and Bama were not the two best teams last year. No matter how Bama got there, the BCS got this one right.
The bcs say NOTHING about two BEST teams. It says #1 vs #2 and every other year those teams were chosen by their resume. In 2011, EYEBALL test was used.

Right, if it is truly about the two best teams based on the eyeball test they should switch out Bama/LSU this year for different opponents or a bye week. That way we only get one crack at each other and it is completely fair. One team going 1-1 to win a NC while the other has to go 2-0 despite playing an extra game, a harder schedule, and oh yeah playing one of the series in the other team's stadium. Give me a break.

This is the reason I only care about the SEC TITLE. Every year( not just sometimes, every year) the media asks if the BCSCG participants were the most deserving. The SEC title is NEVER questioned. Never.

2004 is the only year you can really make an argument. If "resume" were the only thing used every year, then it's ohio state vs michigan in the 2006 bcs title, instead florida got a crack and proved to be the best team in the country. The lsu fanbase needs to let it go, you in particular Rick. Mulligan or not, both teams knew the game was for all the marbles going into it, if you can't get jacked up about plying for a ring then you can't get jacked up.
The "poor us" attitude from a perrenial power is a joke. The "eyeball test" applies when several teams have the same record at the end of the year. Alabama wasn't getting in that game if oklahoma state is undefeated, even though alabama was the best team in the country. If lsu loses one game, they will not get in ahead of an undefeated west virginia or florida state, neither will alabama. The perfect storm happens in college football. LSU of all fanbases should know that sometimes to get to the top it involves another to fall..see pitt vs west virginia.
The fact that many of you are still so sore and argue to this day about it though is silly, the 2012 Lsu tigers are a force to be reckoned with and 2011 alabama is discussed ad nauseum on here. I just don't get it

Bama gets a rematch unless Oregon goes undefeated. Count on it.
Last year Bama proved they were the best team in one unfair game they shouldn't have been in. LSU proved they were the best team all year. It is silly that you Bama fans still try to dispute that.
Posted on 9/17/12 at 5:01 pm to rickgrimes
Just like I said last year. Whoever loses doesn't need to play in the NC game.
I just want LSU to beat the crap out of Bama.......

Unfair how? It was 11 on 11 in new orleans, LA
You have that much bama paranoia that you feel a one loss bama team gets in ahead of an undefeated florida state, west virginia, texas, oklahoma, stanford? Jesus H. Christ

Maybe not, but when you have a group of teams with an identical record then more often than not the 2 best teams are ranked #1 and #2, there are a few instances where that isn't the case, but 95% of the time it plays out that way, just like last year

"If there's an undefeated Oregon or Florida State, the second place team in the SEC is not going to pass them," Palm said. "Last year it happened because there was no other choice. We're a long way from saying that's even remotely likely this year."
No other choice??
