If LSU gets the boot...

Where will the $72.4 million per year from the SEC come from? High stakes game of chicken over 2 reserve players. I don't understand how we got here. The risk of expulsion, even if it only has a tiny chance, seems extremely risky here. Is there a long game by LSU I am missing?

The Sherman act lawsuit should cover it. The tarnishing of the brand piece will be small potatoes compared to their anti-trust suit.

The bigger question is why do we want to part of a league that clearly doesn’t value us as to expel us over something so completely retarded?

Sherman Act is not a slam dunk. While the NCAA is clearly a monopoly and has been found so by courts in the past, the SEC is just one conference among several. May be more difficult to prove the SEC has monopoly power, especially with a recent history of teams moving conferences.

I literally and emphatically could not agree more with this.
I’ve NEVER in my life felt like LSU has ever fit in with these country club rednecks anyway, and of course they would never do it to Alabama, Georgia, or might I add Tennessee as well, because that’s the good old boy network that runs it, and always has. They have always fashioned themselves as just a little more important than anyone else in the conference. We are culturally different, and nothing you do will ever get them to see you as being a part of their little good old by country club elite.
