To refurbish our existing one, looking at around $150 million.
Florida did there's for less than half of that and they were over budget a few million. It was a couple years ago but still doubling that cost seems excessive.

But they aren't the same arena? That's not a fair comparison...

They aren't the same but I don't see if costing over double the cost when they want to do something similar.

Nunez visited new and remodeled arenas at Ole Miss, Florida, Georgia Tech and Clemson, he said. He said Florida had a renovation similar to what LSU wants for the PMAC.
"They did a great job of taking an old facility and making it come to life," Nunez said. "They really did. They did a great job opening it up and making it easier for the fans to get around and still kept the environment for what it was -- special for their venue.
"And then you added the premium seats, the premium areas none of them had. So they really kind of captured all those pieces. That's what we want to try and do."

Maybe double might be a little high, but if they want to put in an atrium like Florida has now there is A LOT of work to do... It's going to be a big job.
I'm still 100% behind a new arena, I think the PMAC is limited no matter what you do to it, especially re: club and premium seating.

You've clearly never been in a decent modern basketball arena
I go to sporting events for what happens on the field or court. As long as I have a good view, I am happy. The PMAC does not have any bad views of the court.

Do not need an expansion. Look at Tiger Stadium - only filled for a big game once or twice a season.
