Not true b/c of the opportunity of intersession.

Now, in regard to the rest of it, it's all a crock of shite.

I'm not favoring JJ or Lee here, but I suggest you watch last year's come from behind win.

Youre right. However, the majority of the people here seem to think that its not fair to them and to Lee if Lee isn't seeing playing time.

Explain please?

You don't allow a 5th year senior to only play the last series for 4 straight weeks because of grades. You many not start them, make them run, etc. but you don't put them in for the last series, particulary for senior day, for 4 weeks.

I don't recall him making many mistakes against Bama last year.

The problem with JJ is that he is either on or off, there seems to be no middle ground.

As horrible as he was in the first half of the SECCG, thanks to Honey Badger we were only down by 3 points at the half. Had UGA receivers not dropped what should've been 2 sure TD passes, things would've been very different and we may possibly have seen Lee in the 2nd half.

If we get down by 2 TDs to Bama, I don't have confidence is JJ's ability to bring us back. Therefore, I think that Lee should be ready, if he is eligible to play.

Now I'm confused.

Are you saying that he IS being held back due to grades? Or, are you saying that Miles is holding him out for another reason? And due to whatever, his penalty is only being able to take the "qb kneel" snaps?

So you have been a major college football coach and know this based on experience right?

I agree it has to be something more. And Miles loves JJ is a bullshite excuse. Unfortunately we will probably never know the actual reason why he is only playing the final series. If I'm being honest about the situation, it seems he is being punished for something. All that being said, I wouldn't play Lee against Bama unless he was taking a knee or we absolutely have to. He doesn't match up well against a defense like theirs.

I hope you realize only 34 more days of JL vs JJ. On day 35 you can substitute two other names there.

JJ is a better QB than Lee, the only reason Lee played was because JJ was suspended. Lee plays scared and can not move.

If Mett is as good as advertised no way this happens. It only happens now because neither JJ or JL are good QB's.

I don't understand. Does LSU release weekly grades for athletes or something?

I wouldn't be shocked to see Lee come in for a couple of plays, if nothing else as a decoy. LSU's depth is their greatest strength, and this includes QB at some level.

If hypothetically grades kept Lee out, it won't earn him the starting role or even series of action - the team is clicking well with JJ. But Saban still has to waste time preparing for him and Miles could catch him off guard with inserting Lee at some point.

Hell, I might line Lee up at WR once(behind the line of scrimmage) to make it look like a flee flicker is coming and then run the option the other way.

We don't know about his grades, but we do know one thing. When JJ first came back they split first team reps in practice. Since JJ has been starting, Lee hasn't been getting any significant reps in practice. He hasn't played in the games because he isn't getting reps in practice. Les told Tracy Wolfson that before the SEC championship game. Why hasn't he been practicing? We can only assume, that we don't know.

Maybe he's punished because JJ really WAS that much better than Lee in the preseason and he's still better than Lee today...ffs who cares why he's not playing!

the only way JL plays on Jan the 9th is if JJ gets hurt or we are down by one or 2 scores later in the game because at that point you have to throw the ball and JJ can't hit the broad side of a barn so JL will have to come in and bail us out just like he did against Florida.
