Word out of the camp was that Lee was awful. That he should not have even been invited.

Just sayin'

Guy on TSD (Matt Deville?)reported it during the camp. Had Tiger fans calling for his head. Not many called him a liar after the UGA game, though.

Why is that not a good point of reference?

You dont know how he would do this year.. bottom line is all of you said if jordan jefferson had the run game jarrett lee he would be way better than JL... Well now look at him.. Eat crow bitches

That said, JJ has some new found velocity on some of his passes this year, but he is not quite at JL's level. Still perfectly adequate, however.

Lee has a slightly stronger arm.

JJ has a more accurate arm.

JJ has a slow arse release.

JL has a quick release.

JJ protects the ball.

JL makes awful decisions at times.

I don't think you have any reading comprehension skills.

Did I say that he is even the best QB on this team?

I am saying that he has PROVEN, in multiple cases, to have a better arm than JJ. In FACT, every video out of training camp showed Lee completing more passes, more accurately, with more velocity. Before you debate that FACT, go find the videos.

Also, since you want to use La Tech as a barometer for how Lee would do in 2010, was that performance better or worse than the "Nightmare in Nashville"?

Speaking of Ridley, the guy strongly incenuiated (pardon my spelling) himself, that he's all for JL getting much more playing time, if not starting.
Slow down. All he said is that there is talent on the bench. He didn't come close to saying that the talent on the bench exceeds the talent on the field.

OK.

What did JJ fail to do vs. MSU that he should have done?

IT WAS HIS LAST START AND HIS LAST REAL PLAYING TIME!!!! ANY ARGUMENT NOT USING THAT AS A POINT OF REFERENCE IS BASED ON ABSOLUTELY NOTHING BUT UNICORNS AND RAINBOWS!!!!

Can I be anymore clear?

And he looks way better than Lee in 08.

Unless your benchmark is passing yards.

He and JJ have comparable arms.

There is MUCH debate over who has the better arm.

I use passing yards.. completion %... Yards per completion... all terrible....

Not to mention if its 3rd and 5 you can bank on it JJ with only throw 3 yard pass

I can name plenty of terrible performances from JJ AFTER JL's debacle at La tech last year.
Q) How many were as bad as La Tech?

A) Vandy
No offense, but Vandy was not worse than La Tech.

Vandy 40% (away, BCS opponent, 2nd game) >>>>> La Tech 32% (home, WAC opponent, 10th game).

D was AWEFUL in 2008 and the O rang up lots of yards & points. Every game was a shoot out.

Give me JL and that offense any day of the week. Pick 6's and all. This years D would make up for it.

As far as Lee's turnovers versus JJ's sacks. I see alot of Lee's interceptions being brought up in this debate.

Interesting FACT: Last game was the first in the last 6 of JJ's starts that he didn't personally turn the ball over himself ATLEAST one time.

Jarrett lee got a lot of passing yards for us.

Some of you guys are blinded by the effects of time.

We only average 201 passing yards a game in 2008. That was #71 in the country.

We averaged 181 passing yards a game in 2009. That was #97 in the country.

There was a minimal difference in our passing game from 2008 to 2009. Pair this with the fact that we trailed teams by greater than two scores in the second half five times in 2008 compared to zero in 2009, and the difference is even slighter.

Uhhhh . . . what exactly would you want Jefferson to do differently in the MSU game?

And Jefferson is doing and has done better than Lee. Hell, Jefferson's worst game is as good as or better than five of Lee's games.

Don't make me whip out my big statistics.
