And a general studies degree doesn't go very far....

by the way, fournette is also an awesome receiver out of the back field or slot. He will be on the field with Hill frequently and defenses will tremble.

No way this kid is a better runner than Hill next season... and Macgee has earned his totes as well... unless we run the Wing T or Triple... Fournette won't see a ton of carries... is it smarter to keep some tread on his tires til after Hill leaves?
Five star skill players get on the field year one. You need to understand this. Magee will see the reduced role if Hill returns. He is not an every down back and he does not wear defenses down. See the Iowa game. See Henry (true freshman) replacing Yeldon and keeping Drake on the sidelines against Oklahoma. Power backs are a must in the SEC.

Could you potentially see two 1000-yard rushers on the same team?
Dunno...

It could very well happen. I could see a split back-field as the base set.

LF name is Not on the dotted line...Hill announces he is coming back...LF has a solid reason to change his mind !

This is not that hard to figure out...LSU will rush the ball 40 times a game next year and pass about 25.
Day 1 will look something like this...Hill (20), Magee (8), Fournette (7), Team (5)
By season's end, it will look like this...Hill (17), Fournette (13), Magee (5), Team (5)
If Fournette is the next coming of Herschel Walker, then flip Fournette and Hill's numbers for the season. Both will carry the ball alot and both will showcase their talents with ~15 carries per game on average by season's end. (Think Ingram and Richardson type utilization). Magee will still tote the ball 5-7 times per game because he's earned it and fits well with certain situations.

This is a solid assessment. You should post more.

I think LF and his crew will be delighted to share carries as a freshman. I have heard talk that they don't want to waste a ton of tread in college. If you watched his HS games he only carried it 15-20 times a game. They know the future is brighter with fresh healthy legs......

I just love the the way people forget that we had to great backs like we did in the 80s and that worked out extremely well for us, as I recall. Shouldn't matter what happens if Hill leaves or not. We will be fine. This is LSU. Whoever is back there will have to share the load because this is how MIles and Cameron operate. Most successful teams have two good backs, especially in the NFL. LF can block and catch just like Hill and with the lost of two great WRs we need both of them on the field at the same time to help Jenningshave more options to move the ball. The bottom line is we need play makers and they can both help us win I. The long run.

Ya know, that's actually a really good point that I hadn't thought of.
We're all here sitting around thinking, "oh no, if Hill comes back, does LF change his mind," when in reality, when you're THAT good, you look at the situation and say "man, just think how good I'll look to the pro scouts when they put ME in as the set of fresh legs towards the end of the 3rd quarter".
Do you think Fournette/his parents WANT him to be "Earl Campbelled"?
I know Miles would never be given this much credit, but for all we know, Miles had a sit down with Fournette and told him "son, here's the deal. we'll not sign a running back in 2012. We're going to have a young QB that's going to need us to run that ball 70% of the time in 2014. Jeremy's coming back for his junior year, y'all will run together in 2014, and in doing so, y'all will be best tandem of running backs in the history of college football."
You have to at least admit that it's strange not signing a single RB last time, especially for a coach that likes the RB by committee thing, no?

My sources say that the Fournette crew has a want to limit this carries and let that be known,it was part of his recruitment . It's the best case scenario for them and us
