That's wish casting. The red river rivalry is listed as one of the top 5 rivalries in college football by everyone who makes those sorts of lists. Texas-Texas A&M is lucky to break the top 25

We were going to get them in the 9 game plan, I'd rather them than Bama. Since rejoining the SEC we are 8-3 against A&M, and overall we are 35-23-3 against them.

I've been out of pocket the past week or so. Did something happen with the new SEC scheduling that I'm not aware of? Did they get rid of the 3 permanent rivals?

Personally I want Ark-LSU on Black Friday at night. I remember it being very competitive and living in Arkansas I can tell you they Hate us. I was at the miracle on Markham. We were robbed by the zebra’s.

The SEC could not squeeze any more money from ESPN to play a 9th conference game because of ESPN’s current financial difficulties. But, make no mistake about it, that 9th SEC game is coming in a few years, when the SEC can make more money.

This is probably the case, but an 8 or 10 game SEC schedule is obviously more competitive as everyone will have the same number of home/road conference games. This is is even more relevant if they do away with divisions. At least with divisions they could've made the teams in each division have the same number of home conf games.
Imagine a 9 game conf schedule in a year in which we didn't play Bama, we tied for the conference title yet they had 5 home games and we had 4? This place would implode.
