Miles seems to enjoy finding reasons not to put Shepard into the game....

We were two or three plays away from losing the Washington game last week, a game in which our most explosive offensive player didn't even play a snap. That is just ridiculous, i'm sorry.
Good grief this is a stupid post.

If Jefferson had played all of last year we would have had 7 losses.

Probably 6 losses.

He even said this season that he finally learned all the plays since he knew he was going to be the starter.

I'll take someone who doesn't have full grasp of the playbook but gives it his best effort and doesn't turn the ball over, over someone who's a pick 6 machine.

You can't really believe that. You really think he would have done worse than Lee if he had started when Hatch went down?

Auburn game would have still been a toss up. Although Jefferson might not have thrown the pick 6, he couldn't have made the two touchdown passes I don't think.

And there was no quarterback on the roster besides Lee that could have made the comeback against Troy.

You don't play someone b/c it's raining?

Don't you remember the plays when Lee could have easily run for a first down but instead threw the ball away or to another team's player?? He may be good in practice but I have yet to see him be there mentally for the real game. Even the one pass last week to Trindon, I was having flashbacks to the pick 6 against Auburn.

not saying it makes sense, but Miles may use that excuse to keep Shepard off the field for another week. I doubt he sees the field till the Georgia game.

He is young and inexperienced. He may have made mental mistakes, but he was "mentally there" for all of the games.

Which was completely Crowton's fault for the terrible play call.

he was a redshirt freshman with a full year in the offensive system. Do you see other young QB's around college football throwing pick 6's as often as Lee? He was not mentally there for the games, otherwise he would not have set the record for pick 6's.

If that happens, I will agree with you that Miles is retarded. However, I really don't think that's going to happen.

And I agree that the team probably would have been worse last year if Jefferson had been thrown in during the Auburn game. Not much worse, but a little. We might be set up better for THIS year, but you owe it to your seniors to never throw in the towel.

Lee's pick sixes were a direct result of a defense who couldn't stop anyone and constantly playing behind, it had nothing to do with a lack of effort or lack of "being in there mentally." You are a moron if you think he wasn't trying to win games for us last year. I kind of supported your original post but you have gone off the deep end my friend.
