I've always thought Frank Gore was a better comparison than AP. In gore's HS and college days, he was alot slimmer and ran similar to LF.

I lived in center, texas and we played Palestine in middle school before Peterson was in middle school. They have a very unique stadium.

That's what I'm talking about. Peterson came in at at least 20lbs lighter than Fournette will and still didn't look that much faster. This video shows his speed and elusiveness a little bit better. Shows a little more power than Peterson, while Peterson shows a little more speed.

Again, people need to realize that Peterson played his high school senior year at around 200lbs. Fournette played both his junior and senior years around 225-230lbs.

AP is quicker off the step...LF harder to bring down.

Did you guys watch AP in the Army AA game? It, more so than any highlight film, underscored just how good AP was going to be. When I think of that game, I think of how AP was as a high schooler and I don't think it's fair to compare anyone to that.

That being said, Fournette is going to be an absolute beast and will end up being a first round RB in a time when RBs hardly ever go in the first round. I think he also has a very real chance to win a bronze statue.

It looks to me like AP was a little bit faster and better balance. LF has more power, but still fast.

He fits LSU perfectly.

Holy cow Adrian Peterson dwarfed over those other players like a man amongst boys. Fournette does too but not as obvious.

I agree, in the Army game, AP was a man amongst boy's. That game showed how great he was going to be, in college. I don't know if LF is going to be as good as AP or not, but I sure hope he is.

My brother in law is a football coach at a 5A school that played St. Aug. He told me that Fournette was the best football player he's ever seen. He said that St. Aug wasn't that good of a team, offensively. He said they barely blocked anybody. The whole gameplan was to give Fournette the ball.

AP looked the exact same in high school as he does in the pros!

Hopefully Fournette transitions to the next level the same way.

Why does he slow down to high step it into the end zone nearly every TD?

If LF has a similar game as AP did his first game in 2004 vs. Bowling Green this is what happened:

1st Qtr- 2 carries
2nd Qtr- 1 carry
3rd Qtr- 3 carries (TD on 3rd carry of 3rd Q)
4th Qtr- 10 carries, mostly on last drive to kill clock

16 carries / 100 yards / Avg- 6.3 ypc

Their starter Keuan Jones 32 carries / 148 yards 4.6 ypc

I would take that meaning Magee has 150 and LF 100 and Hilliard 50- thats 300 yards rushing and 150 passing, 450 total yards should be 31 - 14 victory
