The PMAC under Wade would be packed for most SEC games against ranked opponents.

Let's test that theory!

1/3/18 - #17 Kentucky - 11,952 attendance
12/21/18 - #24 Furman - 9,765
2/13/19 - #5 Tennessee - 13,581
2/18/20 - #10 Kentucky - 13,260
1/19/21 - #18 Bama - 2,295 (COVID)
1/30/21 - #10 TX Tech - 2,808 (COVID)
2/13/21 - #16 Tennessee - 2,224 (COVID)
1/4/22 - #16 Kentucky - 11,808
1/8/22 - #18 Tennessee - 12,881
3/5/22 - #25 Bama - 11,3237

1/29/25 - #1 Auburn - 10,098

Don't know if you were trying to prove my point or not but thanks for pulling data that supports my statement.

So basically, the same crowd that showed up last night was there for #24 Furman. (Students were on winter break for this game)

So, every ranked opponent except for Furman out drew last night crowd by at least 1000 people.

Know how I know you weren't around for football in the 90s?

Name a time in the 90s they played a top 5 team and the stadium wasn’t full.

Most of the fans complaining on here don’t attend any of the 3 sports

capacoty was 80,150 in the 90s just for reference...

These are the paid attendances for top 10 matchups at home that were not sell outs. Note, this is paid, not how many people showed up. And this is straight from the box scores on lsusports.net. And I'm going to do all top 10 matchups because there aren't a ton of top 5 home matchups

1994 Alabama - 75,453
1993 Florida - 60,060
1993 A&M - 61,307
1992 Alabama - 76,813
1992 Tennessee - 68,318
1992 A&M - 69,313
1991 Alabama - 78,838
1991 FSU (#1) - 70, 019

*didn't play any top 10 teams at home in 1990.

LSU's average attendance during the entire Hallman era was 67k. That was about 83% of capacity.

1995-1998 things turned around in that regard...when we started winning games again

He paid the largest buyout in history to Orgeron. Macmahon’s is a small fraction of that buyout

To be fair football also turns a $50 million profit, whereas basketball turns a $1-2 million profit

In football it would be packed at kickoff, but 30% would leave at halftime.

Both TS and the Box will be packed regardless of how bad our teams are. There is not enough support for MBB. Woodward knows football and baseball are the programs that write his check.

And that is because Football and Baseball have been developed an are proven programs. We've had dumbasses post this same statement multiple times. First of all, Baseball will never write anyone's check. Of course we all love it and I'm hoping LSU makes Omaha this year. If LSU had a consistent basketball program that competed for the SEC yearly, the PMAC would be packed and people would be camping out for tickets against a #1 program.

When Wade was here we averaged over 10k in the PMAC every year but his first one.

Under McMahon this is the 2nd year in a row we'll basically be between 7k-8k after just over 9k in his first season, and we all know a lot of that paid attendance isnt showing up either.

Been a pretty big drop off.

Imagine Tiger Stadium only having like 70k-75k paid and maybe half or 2/3's of them showing up

Obviously you didn't attend MBB games during the 80s and early 90s. It wasn't called the deaf dome for shits and giggles. That place was rocking. Woodward is a hack. MBB would generate more revenue than baseball if the team put butts in the seats.

Baseball is the number one team in the country. Football could/might be the number one team in the country semi-regularly.

The basketball program has potential but it needs a enthusiastic leader that wins. We are in our cuck chair watching the majority of the SEC excelling and thriving. Thanks to Woody caving to the NCAA. Woody took the heart out of LSU basketball and turned the loyalist of fans into casuals and casuals into no shows.

Season ticket holders do not like this coach. I had season tickets during JJ era and gave them up before his last season. Got them back as fast as I could when WW was hired. I did not renew my tickets this year and will not until LSU has a new head coach.

With the players staying for 1-2 years and leaving plus not liking the head coach is not a good basketball experience.

You don`t have to worry MM IS going to get another year,so all the
angst and bitching is not going to change that.If people think their criticizing
moaning and groaning is helping the program ,good luck for that.If you hate
MM just don`t pay attention to MBB and act like it dosen`t exist. You will be
helping the program more than you know.
If MM bombs out next season you will probably get your wish,he WILL be gone.Just don`t count on it because they will have a good team in 26.
