What is an SEC caliber QB? Can you please explain and give some names of the QB's you think are "SEC caliber"?

A QB capable of winning a game when the defense just loads 8 or 9 into the box.

The stats just don’t support this. Unless half the SEC doesn’t have an SEC caliber QB

Don't you bring real life factual evidence in here.

What does that have to do with the SEC?

That's called a OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR. The QB can only execute the plays being called.

Or the offensive coordinator knows the QB can’t make a throw over the middle and has to call a game with a limited QB

I would be more confident if he was returning. He did well under Ensminger. I'm not saying Canada isn't the better OC but I think LSU would have been better last year with Etling and Ensminger.

Some QBs are only given plays they can execute. That describes Etling. Our playbook was limited by his limitations.

I'd call an SEC QB one that can make all of the throws. You can get by with less in other conferences, not the SEC.

I'll take my chances without him. He could not scramble and pick up first downs on 3rd down plays.

Or not if your Danny Etling trying to his Chark open over the top of the Alabama Defense.
