If Cordale Flott is not sec defensive player of the week I’m going to be pissed!

All year he looked like a little kid playing trying to catch up with the big boys. Saturday night he looked like an All American DBU lol. He was physical playing all over the field and had swag!

I have been critical of him since the Texas game last season, but he played absolutely lights out on Saturday. So happy for him and I think he has turned a corner, no pun intended.

He was a surprising bright spot the other night. We have dogged him all year (rightfully so most of the time) but he stepped up the other night.

Not sure why Ricks was in the doghouse but Flott did well. Maybe he is more comfortable as CB2 instead of nickel?

They're going to give all the SEC weekly awards this week to Sarah Fuller.

Ricks has made like 5 highlights plays now. That’s pretty much the limit at LSU. He may be looking to opt out and we’re getting Flott ready.

Hopefully radar Jones is ready too because 2-3 more games like that and Flott will be heading to the NFL as well.

He and Baskerville both showed up big time. I was super proud of their effort. Clark is still invisible...but those two sure stepped up in my opinion.

#8 for the Aggies has a better argument...and a win.

He definitely deserves it! I was being sarcastic about giving it to Flott but he really surprised me with his play.

Baskerville has been playing well all year. Clark is hardly seeing any playing time lately. Clark is a huge disapointment

Honestly, our defense can improve and execute better than the last two weeks and still get their asses handed to them the next two games. They are going to get beat some because the guys are the other side are just better, at least vs Bama. With continued improvement and a decent offensive game, I think we can hang with UF for a while.

A better test will be against Ole Miss. They have some great skill guys and a tough scheme, but we still matchup a lot better man for man with them.

I had this thread in my mind until I saw yours. Props to Cordale for a great game. He was tenacious out there.

Baskerville has been going hard. No one has said anything, but on that long touchdown run, Clark gave a shitty arse effort basically running into the lead blocker at half speed to let Spiller get into the secondary at full speed. Dude just can’t put it together.

I agree Flott played better but didn't he also have 2 pass interference calls against him? Not being overly critical but those hurt by extending A&M's drives.

That’s fine with me. I was happy he made contact with the wr then leaving them wide open like they have been all year lol
