LSU didn’t have much in the coffers for BK to throw together a team with NIL.

They gave him a $100m deal. What a loud of crap.

Umm, not sure you know this or not, but he doesn’t get the whole thing all at once one Day 1. It’s over the course of several years (10 to be exact). now Will Wades buyout was $3M and O’s was $17M. Plus Jay Johnson and Kim Mulkey just signed big extensions earlier in the year. And then you have the sex scandal settlements which is estimated between $2-3M.

So LSU wasn’t exactly flush with cash. My point stands. You just live in clown world and refuse to believe it

I think Freeman has ND pretty much where Kelly left it.

It’s not like Kelly didn’t hire Freeman.

It’s not like kelly hasn’t hired Denbrock multiple times.

The recruiting was picking up.
NIL was going to help them out.

the question is can they win it all? Can they beat an elite team?

I'm sure he has regrets . NIL definitely changed everything in that regard in 3 years.
With how LSU is doing this year in the portal and spending ?? he may be able to make up for it.

Marcus Freeman is a great coach who happened o be born on 3rd base.

Having Drew Pyne at QB is not being born on 3rd base.

So now the narrative is that he actually had more available to him at ND than he does LSU?

Mental gymnastics.

Hate makes you do and say strange things. Let them cope. They may never come to grips with the truth.

Shhhhhh. Don’t say it out loud. The BK haters really dislike facts.

Most LSU fans don’t understand how bare the cupboard was when Kelly got here.

taking over a 11-1 team with very few holes in the program is being born on 3rd base. You can buy a QB through the portal these days (Sam Hartman, Riley Leonard), so who cares who the QB is at the start?

No kelly checked put for last three years at nd. He literally stopped being on campus in the spring.

He was burned out and simply couldnt get things right.

Jumped into a better recruiting situation (where im sure hes still lazy af) but gets the local talent, but his garbage hires are again holding him back. He simply cant work with top tier staff that arent in his inner circle.

It is not necessarily true that ND would've have agreed to participate in NIL. Don't forget that except for under Lou Holtz ND refused to lower their admission standards for football players. ND often acts like "We're Notre Dame! Everyone is begging to go here!"

Yes Freeman was lucky that ND did decide to use NIL. BK would've done great at ND if he had NIL to recruit.

His recruiting classes:

2021: 25 high school commits and ranked #3 class. 4 transfers ranked #12 transfer class.

2022: 15 high school commits and ranked #7 class. 15 transfers ranked #3 transfer class (including a Heisman winner).

2023: 26 high school commits and ranked #4 class. 13 transfers ranked #4 transfer class.

With all of that his best season was his first with a "bare cupbard."

How are yall still making this excuse for his shite coaching in 2024?
